This unit is sold through Costco, so some the accessories may be different.
The window adapter is sturdy and adjusts to many sized windows. It uses a little plastic pin. The fit is within +/- 1/2". A tighter fit is possible with adding another hole, where needed.

The remote is a nice feature and seems to work without pointing directly at the unit.
The controls on the unit are on top, not like the picture.

There are four modes (Cooling, De humidification, Heating, and just fan). The fan has three speeds.
There are options to run the unit based on a timer or by temperature. The temperature is measured at the unit, so you would need to compensate for across the room.

The unit is noisy, but as expected. There is a comparison chart on the side of the box, but if you desire quiet, it is not going to happen. The lowest speed fan is probably 50dB. Then the compressor adds to that. I run it to temperature and then turn it off, if I want to sleep.

The hose that connects to the window is fairly short, so the unit needs to be close or right under the window.
This draws 10 amps at 120 volt, so can run on most circuits. The cost to run this is about 20 cents per hour, for Southern California. It would be more if your tier is at a higher level.

Overall, this is a nice unit. I paid $334 at Costco, with it on sale from $390. For a 12,500 Btu, this was less that LG models or other stores.

I will adjust my rating after the using this for the summer.

This is my second Delonghi A/C unit and I love them. Very easy to setup which makes it truly portable. It's on wheels that roll easily even on carpet. The controls are simple to understand for basic operation, and with the manual, even the advanced stuff like timer on/off become easy.

It blows out very cold and very powerful on high. This particular model doesn't have a removable drain tank for easy disposal of the humidity it sucks out of the air, but I don't like in a humid climate so it doesn't bother me. It does come with the drain hose so you can connect the hose and drain it into something if you need to, otherwise the manual says to connect it every so often and drain it. Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, I never need to drain it even when I run it all night long.

So far.... excellent... I'd give it 5 stars but, I have not had the opportunity to use the heater. I set it up yesterday morning, built a 12" base to put it on, ran the hose out a window and cranked it up. I loved the compactness of it in a corner of the room, no more big ole window AC unit, blocking out a window. It's now located in an area I don't lose use of, the hose tucks in behind a couch, I'm a happy, happy camper.

Now a little bit of the bad... I checked out the reviews before I purchased, for the most part they looked very good. The few bad reviews were so far out there, I really didn't give them much validity. The one negative that I was concerned with went wrong with my unit., code # HL. The unit shuts down until you empty the water container. I read a review somewhere that referred to this occurring, the manual says to contact the nearest service center if it occurs repeatedly in a short amount of time. It occurred, but I kept emptying the unit about a liter of water each time it shut down, about every hour or so, 3 times to be exact. While this was happening, I scoured the internet for anything I could find on this, all the while getting a little aggravated. What I decided to do was the opposite of what was recommended. I had the space under the unit to set up a drain into a large container. I was planning it out in my head when we left for dinner, to my amazement, when we returned a few hours later, the large room was 73 degrees, like I set it for and the AC was still running. It's been 24 hours and it still is working beautifully. My guess is, it was a very humid 90 degree day out, the humidifier side of this unit was sucking the water out of the air.. once the room cooled down and much of the water had been collected... it was awesome. Not to mention, maybe the unit just needed to run and basically break in.. I'm not an engineer or a scientist.. this flat out works great! For the money, don't miss out on an opportunity to own this awesome unit.

Works well, even on hot days (100+), for a small/medium sized room. But the "no drip" part is laughable. I had to put it on cinder blocks and put a 3 gallon tub under the spout.

I have one I bought from Costco. It's job is to supplement the central A/C in the house and cool a 150 sq. ft. bedroom. It cools nicely, and I've been able to bring the temp. in the room down from 80 to 68 degrees in the early summer when it's in the high 70s outside and the rest of the house is 77 degrees or so. When it started getting really hot outside, I noticed it wasn't cooling as well and upon examination I found that the hose was leaking tremendous amounts of hot air where it connects to the unit. I think it's always been that way but I only noticed when it got really hot outside and it wasn't cooling as well. Lots of duct tape fixed that. It remains to be seen how it improves the cooling on these hot Atlanta nights. My only other complaint, as others have mentioned, is the noise. It's really loud. You can't hear the TV over it. I don't mind the noise for sleeping because the sound is constant and steady and it doesn't keep me awake, you just can't hear the TV. The A/C only runs on high when in cooling mode. When in fan mode, you can slow the fan down and it's not so bad, but in the summer it's compressor is always running. Also, it never seems to cycle when it reaches it's set temp. So, if it's set on 72 it will cool to around 68 before cycling off (and lowering the fan speed) and won't cut the compressor back on until it's around 76 in the room. I wish it were more accurate. But, it is what it is and it keeps me cool.
