Product Description

Want supplemental cooling that won't block your view? Do you live in an apartment building that doesn't allow for window air conditioners? For any scenario, the De'Longhi Pinguino Portable Air Conditioner with 10,000 BTUs is the ideal solution. Don't suffer in the heat, simply roll the Pinguino into any room and place it near a window and outlet. Plug it in, slide in the window bracket, attach the hose and turn it on. There are no tools required! Not only is it simple to set up, but you will also save money with plenty of energy-efficient features such as eco-friendly refrigerant gas and an adjustable thermostat. The convenient 24-hour programmable timer allows you to set it only for the time you need cooling. With most portable air conditioner units, you need to continuously empty excess condensation from a bucket. But with Pinguino's "no drip" technology, the unit automatically recylces the condensation so you never have to empty a bucket again! Other highlights include 3 fan speeds, auto fan function and easy-to-use digital controls with LED display and remote. With quiet, worry-free operation, the Pinguino is perfect for your home office, bedroom, basement or anywhere cooling is needed.

Desperate due to Central Air being out in my home and delays getting a new unit in I bought one of these as a stop gap solution. I have to say i am honestly impressed with what it is able to do. I have used it primarily in closed rooms as large as 20x17 and it takes a litlle while but within an hour the room is comfortable and within 2 it is down right pleasant. The fact that it states it as dripless has made me a bit nervous but I have taken the time to try and drain and the unit is producing barely any water at all as advertised. So for my needs this has been a great product and nice to have in case of emergencies.

works great, no issues, 15' x 15' room cooled on a 85º day, any hotter and this unit will struggle, it's all about the room size versus outside temp. But it is versatile and trouble free.

Bought this unit as a stop gap measure during 100 deg days when my daughters central air heat pump went out. It provided instant relief, was quiet and we got it at a great price. I'm now using it in our 3 season sun room and so far it's working great.

Bought this with a $50 mail in rebate from Fry's. it blows cold air but will not cool down the room at all. I wish I would've spent a little extra for a top rated Portable AC unit.

I'm going into my 3rd summer with mine. It worked reasonably well the first year, cooling a 10" x 12" room. Now it primarily makes noise and wastes electricity, with very little cooling going on. Cleaning the filter screen helped a little bit, but not nearly enough. DeLonghi's website and "customer support" is absolutely useless. I couldn't even find an owner's manual there.

I would strongly suggest buying a different brand.

I am a bit disappointed and, in retrospect, I should have bought a window unit. It blows plenty of cold air, but does not seem to ever cool the room down to desired temp (10x12). The other negative factor is the noise. It is really noisy, even on low fan speed

I'm really surprised by some of the reviews. I got this unit for my bedroom because I like it really cold when I sleep and don't want to cool the entire house to that temperature. It works perfectly. I'm in the south where it gets really hot, well, always as far as I'm concerned, and this unit keeps my bedroom no higher than 65 even during the high, hot summers.

When I first got it, it quickly needed draining which was awkward maneuvering but easy enough. I haven't had to do that since. My only concern has been constant sinus battles and I wondered if this unit was screwing up the humidity levels but it's probably just me. I do have a problem with allergies. Other than that, this unit has cooled better than I recall window units cooling and it doesn't make any more noise than those units. Perhaps those that are complaining about it not cooling enough are expecting it to cool an area larger than what it's designed to handle or not closing their doors. I've had this for a couple years now and it works far better than expected.

I use this to supplement my central air. My central air was running non stop in the 100 degree weather and it was still hot in the house. I turn that central air up to 79 and shut the bedroom doors and turn the portable down to 72 in the living room which is open to a dining room and a kitchen. It's much cooler in the living room now. It's easy to setup and blows very cold air. I put a fan in front of it and it blows super cold air across the entire room. It lowered my utility bill and made us much more comfortable. We even roll it into the bedroom sometimes at night when we want it super cold in there because it's so easy to move. It has also lowered the stress on my central air conditioner which was never cutting off. It was 104 outside today and in the house, I had no idea.
