I picked up a pair of these a few weeks ago. I'm quite pleased with the construction, but the included padded insert is so big and cushiony at the heel, it reduces the effective size of the boot! They were too cramped for work use with it, replacing it with a more normal one made them the size they purport to be.

I'd say the size reduction was a little over a half-size, so plan accordingly and/or order a bit large. This was on the size 12s.

I wanted a tough boot with a steel toe, that I could wear while cutting fire wood or doing serious yard work. These boots are just that Tough! The boots are well made so I don't have a problem with that. However, they may be a little too tough. I found while wearing them for several hours that they rub on the backs of my ankles and make them hurt. Also, if my socks happen to slide down below the top of the upper part, the boots feel rough on my legs as well. I don't cut wood that often, so I found that if I wear 2 pairs of long socks I don't have any problems. Over all, I'd rate these boots a 7 on a 10 scale.

Am very pleased with the comfort and quality of these boots. AND they were delivered in less than 24 hours from U.S.A. to Canada.
