Verified Purchase
To start I should say that I own 4 forced air kerosene heaters and this was my first dewalt brand. I own thousands of dollars in other dewalt tools and products that work very well, this is defiantly not the case with this heater. Also note my review is currently the only "verified Purchase" review.

For Starters the black "frame" and carry handles are thin in size and metal gauge, just flimsy.
The whole tank is painted yellow...even on the inside. Anyone who has experience with kerosene can tell you that it eats paint of off metal, so I can see this being a problem down the road...if it lasts long enough to be a problem.
The "fuel gauge" is on the opposite side of the fill opening and hard to see even when standing on the proper side of the heater.
Within days the factory shipped and installed screws started to rattle loose.

After less than 5 uses the heater started producing waaaaaaaaaay less heat than it did at first. It hadn't been misused, abused or filters allowed to get dirty. Being a tradesperson and having some mechanical know how, I checked all the settings like pump pressure and filter condition, all were ok as described in the owners manual.

I can hear an audible up and down in speed of the fan motor, like its dying, or just not operating correctly. Defiantly not the powerful and steady "WOOSH" it had when I first turned it on. The electric motor that runs the fan is very hot to the touch, even in 15 degree weather. Keep in mind that the motor is not in the heated area of the machine, so there is no reason for it to get super hot during normal operation.

In closing, its a piece of junk and I can all ready tell its not going to stand the test of time like my other heaters made by Reddy Heater.

I have only had it running for an hour or so, but it fired right up and is heating my shop up quickly.
Running it on diesel.
