Wow, The Characters and Storyline Really Come to Life!,
By Tony D Studer (Albany, OR United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Deacon's Horn (The Last Gentile Trilogy, Book 2) (Paperback)
I thought the LAST GENTILE was a hard act to follow, but this book is even better! Masterful development of the character set and storyline make you feel like you're actually engaged in the battle against evil. I highly recommend this book and after the first books cliffhanger ending I was glad I could get my hands on the second and third books instead of having to wait.

This review is from: Deacon's Horn (The Last Gentile Trilogy, Book 2) (Paperback)
The action takes off in Book 2 as the Tribulaton begins. New characters enter the story and Bybee does a good job getting the reader quickly attached to these people as their lives become more difficult by the day. Literally, Bybee has story lines going all around the world at the same time. I especially like Bybee's ideas of how the judgments of the Book of Revelation could come about. Who knows and if my belief in a pre-tribulation rapture is correct, I and other Christians today will watch these events from the "balcony". I look forward to reading Book 3. Thanks.

Just like book one, this is an easy read that touches your heart and soul. Bringing ideas to the forefront other end time series have not, it encourages you to search for the truth and examine the evidence of our current times.
If Christian fiction is what you seek, you will love this trilogy.

Cary Bybee's "The Last Gentile Trilogy" is a must-read for anyone remotely interested in end times, Revelations-based fiction. The story is well-written and the characters are so real, identifiable, and believable. I found myself not being able to put the books down because of so much going on. The story line has something for everyone...action, suspense, drama, romance, and even comedy. The scientific approach to much of the subject matter is very refreshing as well. The way Mr. Bybee interprets end time phenomena through science is very impressive and well thought out. I've also read the entire "Left Behind" series and, in my opinion, Mr. Bybee's trilogy is much better. It moves along at a quicker pace and is not drawn out over 12 different books. Do yourself a big favor and pick up this trilogy: you will not be disappointed.
