Join popular author Lori Avocato in another zany, wild adventure with intrepid sleuth, Pauline Sokol. Pauline is sent undercover to the DaVinci Ambulance company where she finds out that the owner is billing the insurance company fraudulently - however, Mr. DaVinci himself is murdered, sending her investigation into a tailspin - not to mention the fact that someone is sending her riddles - that threaten her life! The only perk in the job is meeting one very sexy, very well experienced paramedic, ER Dano - whom she can't decide is a suspect or a love interest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dead On Arrival Going Places on Bestseller list!, July 4, 2007
This review is from: Dead on Arrival (Pauline Sokol Mysteries) (Mass Market Paperback)
I just bought Dead On Arrival, having read all the other books in the series. This is the sixth mystery that medical insurance fraud investigator Pauline Slokol works on; this one discusses issues of ambulance billing fraud. The great characters and interesting plot make this up and coming author, Lori Avacato, as excellant as Janet Evanovitch. I would recommend this cosy mystery as perfect for summer reading. Amusing and informative, I give this book five stars!

This review is from: Dead on Arrival (Pauline Sokol Mysteries) (Mass Market Paperback)
Lori Avocato writes funny mystery books. I have read them all and can't say a bad word about them. They are quirky, and cute.. If you need a light mystery to read...try her books! She has some interesting places to have murders take place!!
Keep them coming Ms. Avocato!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this series!, April 1, 2008
This review is from: Dead on Arrival (Pauline Sokol Mysteries) (Mass Market Paperback)
I love this series - although I don't like Dano the new character they introduced (hoping he is dropped because I love Jagger) I liked the story. I cannot wait for her next one- be sure to read these in order and start with one or you might be a hair bit lost. She drops people in a drop of the hat so you have to watch that book to book. (Not that I liked the other guy who I won't name in case you haven't read it) I wish she would write faster!
