3.0 out of 5 stars The Death of a Famous Conductor -- Bill Slider's Fourth Case, February 12, 2012
This review is from: Dead End (Audio Cassette)
Once again the Orchestra where Joanna, Bill Slider's significant other, plays the violin, is involved with a murder. The Orchestra had hired Sir Stefan Radek, a very famous conductor. One day at a rehearsal for a charity concert Sir Stefan is killed by a gunshot. Bill Slider is called in to investigate. His look into the victim's past reveals that Sir Stefan while in some respects a genius was in other respects a very unpleasant man who had made several enemies, both inside and outside of his family.

Slider's personal life is also in trouble as he balances his love life with his marital obligations. The mystery in this case is not as compelling as the prior books in this series.

The audio version is read by Terry Wale, who does his usual excellent job. This book is preceded by Death to Go, originally titled Necrochip and followed by Blood Lines.

The US title for this book was Grave Music.
