5.0 out of 5 stars Great, Amazing...FUN!!!
Ohmygosh this was one of my favorite albums of 1999, 2000 and 2001. Yes, the material was finished and on tape by 1999. And it was worth the wait to hear the mastered version. Killer, catchy, guitar hooks provided by Keri Kelly (Big Bang Babies, Pretty Boy Floyd...and others). Taime Downe is a genious. Great lyrics, amazingly fun, tongue-in-cheek topics. Tracks like...

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid like the Plaugue... and not in a good goth way, either
This is cheap...rock from the leadsinger of FasterPussycat. It is about as goth as a ham sanwich. I had such high hopes when I picked this one up, but was sadly crestfallen. One would be better off with some nice Cruxshadows, Bauhaus, Voltaire, Bella Morte, or Joy Division CDs. Or maybe even some of the more violent Nick Cave (or any Nick Cave, actually). Just don't...

Killer, catchy, guitar hooks provided by Keri Kelly (Big Bang Babies, Pretty Boy Floyd...and others). Taime Downe is a genious. Great lyrics, amazingly fun, tongue-in-cheek topics. Tracks like "Lipstick" just begged to be cranked. And "Six Feet Deep" makes great night-time driving music. If you're not putting this CD into rotation you're missing out. Whoever that lamer was that referred to this as goth...she needs sit down. This is fun, Hollywood rock at it's finest! There's much more in the way of melodys and grooves to become addicted to than in their S/T debut. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gother than Thou!, March 19, 2002

I am so glad that Tame Downe decided not to rest his laurels and came out with this potent concoction which reads like the ingredients to the sickest most gothic witches brew Bar Sinister and the Pretty Ugly Clubs finest denzines could ever wish to drink of. While purests, may scoff at the Newlydeads infusion of Glam & Dirt Rock into the gothic genre, anybody who grew up in the late 80's should adore this. Grab a clove and a miller and enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tongue in cheek, August 20, 2001

First off, this is NOT a "goth" band or a "goth" album. SO dont expect it to be one. What it really is is humorous tongue in cheek rock. The songs never take themselves too seriously and yet remain entertaining. Fans of Rob Zombie and Ministry might want to check this out. It could be right up thier alley. Or if you just like some cool industrial rock with a little dark humour also pick it up. You won't be disapointed.
