5.0 out of 5 stars Your collection is not complete without this..., May 4, 2004

This album, along with many other Esham/Natas albums, is one of the best albums of the 90's. He keeps it underground here, but expands his style. This is not his BEST album, but it is one of. Best cuts are What, You Better Ask Somebody, Kill Or Be Killed, What Did I Do Wrong, Foodstamp, Any Style You Want, Because, Trick Wit Me, and If I Can't Have U, but the VERY BEST SONGS here and some of the best songs i have EVER heard are Killagram, One Day, Charlie Manson and Silicone. This album is a MUST for all esham fans, and ANY RAP FAN. Seriously you MUST check this out if you havent already. One of the best underground albums ever, along with the best Esham album EVER - Closed Casket. Also check out Kkkill The Fetus, and Boomin Words From Hell to hear Esham near his best, and get Natas' Doubelievengod and Multikillionaire: The Devil's Contract, because they are well worth your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars The number 1 under-rated cd in the 90's, May 20, 2002

This was the next perfect Album for Esham. Even though KKIll The Fetus, and Closed Casket were close to perfect, but only Booming Words from Hell and Dead Flowerz and guaranteed classics. Song after song nothing but top notch hits. This album was a shocker to me when I first heard it because he talks about everything you could want in a rap album...and it has great lyrics.) This album has it all, only down fall was that now I compare this album to all the reason of his new albums, and they don't meet the standards of dead flowerz. so if you want to hear a five star album get this one, guaranteed satisfaction

this album is Esham at his prime, more focused than ever.
Every song is morbid and nihilistic as hell
its hard to beilive this album is already 10 years old!
thats insane! i remember bumping this cd as a kid, this and closed casket alone in my room with the lights off and just think crazy thoughts.
There is probably 2 songs i skip past when i listen to this cd
but i can listen to this album for 8 whole hours and still be entertained

5.0 out of 5 stars Godfather of the Detroit Sound?, October 15, 2004
This review is from: Dead Flowerz (Audio CD)
Originally from Detroit I grew up on the classic Esham/Natas Acid Rap. Dead Flowerz is Esham's best release to date. Out of a catalog of over 20 release CDs. Dead Flowerz is the best release out of Michigan then Dayton Family's F.B.I. Ain't no cat from Detroit that hasn't been influence by Esham in some form. From I.C.P to Twiztid with their classic House Of Krazees' group. Even Eminem has been influence by E. Esham was at his best with Dead Flowerz I mean everything was just rite! Lyrics the beats everything was off the fu%king hook! So many emcees have stole his style from Brother Lynch Hung to Necro. Even 2Pac was a little influence by E, I got the whole RLP catalog and Dead Flowerz is the best album outta the whole Esham/Natas collection. Check him out. The Wicketsh%t will NEVER DIE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic sickness!!, May 25, 2011

This is the only Esham album I'm completely familiar with. Other than hearing a couple of tracks off his "Boomin' Words from Hell" CD.

Although,I've heard that this album was his most commercial release,I still found this album to have a perfect balance of chemically imbalanced, schizophrenia sounding tracks in addition to the hardcore, funky, porn type songs.

I've been meaning to check out more of his older material, since I enjoyed this album to death.

5.0 out of 5 stars 96%, December 1, 2007
This review is from: Dead Flowerz (Audio CD)
This album is nearly flawless. Esham loses the horrorcore for a moment, in favor of a new, more raw style. A more "reel life" style. I love the older Esham catalog, but this was the album that should have put him on the map. It's a loss to the world, because he was/is truly an original of the rap genre. After Bruce Wayne, it goes slightly down hill from there.

Nearly every track on this album is seriously sweet. This is his most consistent album and my second favorite, next to "KKKill The Fetus."

"Killagram"; "Silicone"; "What"; "Charlie Manson"; "Fried Chicken."

This was Eshams most serious effort. I love it, you should buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars The gangsta ish not the wicket ish!, June 22, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Dead Flowerz (Audio CD)
Esham slowed down his beats toned down on the blaz4me and produced a high quality gangsta rap album 4da 96. When I first heard this album it didn't move me. I now don't know why. The beats are suductive and haunting. He still has his usual crazy talk. This album also has a sense of hopelessness to it. As with most esham albums it might not appeal to you especialy if you are into the pop rap that killing hip hop now. But if you want good production and an album that is not talking about money this us for you

awesome awesome stuff here, if u say u like esham and dont have this album then u r just a faker, this is esham at his best, along with closed casket and booming words from hell. songs like you better ask somebody, kill or be killed, foodstamp, trick wit me, charlie manson and silicone, i find as the best on this but the others r still really good, such as songs like tony montana, what did i do wrong, any style you want, killagram, one day, fried chicken, because, if i cant have u, u aint fresh, and the remainder songs r about at a 4-star rating. u just have to get this, if i didnt have and had only heard the songs kill or be killed, and silicone, then i would buy it just for them, they r pure awesome.
