I truly enjoyed book # 2 of David Price mystery series. I could not put it down. You will be wondering who the killer was the entire time, and I love that about this book.

This review is from: One Dead Lawyer (David Price Mysteries) (Paperback)
David Price, security escort for hire, returns in Tony Lindsey's newest installment, ONE DEAD LAWYER. This time around David is asked to protect the son of his ex-wife's friend, Daphne. When a prominent, but slick lawyer is murdered, several players in David's life are somehow connected and everyone is keeping secrets. Further complicating matters, David's ex, Regina, wants their son adopted by the man she is to marry.

ONE DEAD LAWYER is action-packed from the first page until the conclusion. The author provides several plot twists allowing for the culprit or culprits to remain a mystery until the end. The dialogue, between the characters, is realistic and humorous, the setting vivid and the societal ills and repercussions at play are absolute. With the return of David Price, Tony Lindsay continues to entertain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the Usual Suspects., February 10, 2008
This review is from: One Dead Lawyer (David Price Mysteries) (Paperback)
Security professional David Price is back once again with another difficult case. David is thrown into the middle of a dangerous situation when his ex-wife Regina's friend Daphne requests his services to protect her son Stanley. Everything is not what it appears to be as David learns the kind of illegal activity Stanley is involved in. To make matters worse, Regina is planning on marrying a seedy lawyer that wants to adopt their son. David's focus on his family is put off track when a lawyer that he suspects is a murderer turns up dead. Time is running out for David as he tries to solve this crime before it's too late.

One Dead Lawyer is an intriguing novel by Tony Lindsay. Lindsay brought a riveting storyline that was full of emotion and dramatic suspense. Readers will be glued to the pages as this mystery unfolds. You feel the emotion of David as he tries to do what's best for his son and trying to help out a friend in need. This storyline moves so rapidly that it will definitely keep readers on their toes. In every murder mystery, the big question is always "Who did it?" When the murderer is revealed in this story, it's so shocking that you will have to re-read the page in order to believe it. One Dead Lawyer is fast-paced and entertaining. Tony Lindsay has once again created an excellent mystery novel that doesn't disappoint.

4.0 out of 5 stars a blistering read, January 10, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: One Dead Lawyer (David Price Mysteries) (Paperback)
Bodyguard for hire, David Price pays dearly in the case of "One Dead Lawyer" by Tony Lindsay. The threat of death or personal lost, real or perceived surrounds Price and he takes it personally and professionally. On a personal level, someone is threatening to take his son through adoption and more importantly, by name. Though it may have been handed down through slavery, all a black man has stripped down is his name. David's professional reputation takes a blow when two clients are shot dead at his doorstep. All of the trials David faces in this book are in the face of "law and order."

This blistering paced novel kept me up late at night and woke me early to get back to it to learn what was going to happen next. There was new intrigue on almost every page and it didn't stop until the very last one.

Tony Lindsay has won me over as one of today's best contemporary mystery writers with his David Price Mysteries.
