5.0 out of 5 stars Ahhhh, yes., February 24, 2000
By A Customer
This record will break your heart as it fills it with joy.... every time. The smooth, soft, but never saccharine or cloying work is one which you will probably play over and over and over and over again; at least I couldn't stop listening to it....

5.0 out of 5 stars Where can I get more of S.E. Rogie?, December 9, 1999
By
I believe Mr. Rogie died soon after this album was made, which is too bad, because it's one of my favorites. If I found myself in a record store in Africa, maybe they could help me. Very mellow guitar music with incomprehensible patois lyrics. Very similar to Hawaiian slack key guitar music. Put on this CD, grab a beer and settle back in your hammock out in the yard. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, June 9, 1999
By A Customer
This is a calming, lovely voice. I play this album on Sunday mornings and it gives just the right start to a quiet, upbeat day that belongs to me & my family; this is an intimate album. Simple, clean melodies, marvelous voice.

4.0 out of 5 stars smooth and soulful, April 29, 1999
By A Customer
While looking for something to listen to on the radio, I came upon this station that was play one of his songs from his album. I was so impressed that I bought his album that night at a record store. Although I loved the CD it lacked that ruff edge but on the whole it was good. A must buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Musical Journey, November 13, 1998
By A Customer
Although I do not understand one word that Rogie is singing, his sweet, knowing voice brings a smile to my face every time I hear it! In combination with his virtuoso guitar I can't think of another CD I would rather be stranded on a desert island with! If you don't own any African music this is the one to buy! My only complaint is that he only has one album that I can find.

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful introduction to World Music!, June 27, 1999
By A Customer
Excellent! This CD is soothing yet percolates right along. It's perfect for late night driving when my husband's asleep in the passenger seat and also for get-togethers where conversation is the ongoing focus.

5.0 out of 5 stars S.E. Rogie Dead Men Don't Smoke Marijuana, December 16, 2008
The CD arrived very quickly; and I have been listening to it frequently. It is in perfect shape and I just love the happiness that S.E. Rogie had to give. Kitty
