confusing,
By Ginny (Martha's Vineyard) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dead Men's Morris (Mrs. Bradley Mysteries) (Paperback)
Normally I love Gladys Mitchell books, and this had a very promising title as well as description of the narrative. Alas the lengthy list of characters (some with very odd names), extensive and difficult vernacular from about half of the them, confusing welter of places, not to mention all the pigs with different names and characteristics, plus all the various themes...well it is very confusing. If there had been a map it would have helped. There isn't. I keep forcing myself -- rare with a G Mitchell book -- to continue reading but I'm flagging. Most of her books are wonderful; this is a difficult one.
