Wonderful book, November 10, 2000
This review is from: Dead in the Pumpkin Patch (Mass Market Paperback)
I really enjoyed this book. I have not read any others by this author, yet, but I PLAN to!
I like her main characters, Amanda and Nick. They are a great couple. I always enjoy a cozy with amateur sleuths. Nick is a police chief and she is a CPA. She ends up helping him solve a local murder around Halloween. The characters are fun and the story moved quickly. I will be reading all her books as soon as I can!

Hay Hauling, Pumpkin Picking, Cow Country, June 30, 2007
This review is from: Dead in the Pumpkin Patch (Mass Market Paperback)
Halloween is just around the corner. The folks in rural Vamoose, Oklahoma are decorating the town. Amanda Hazard goes to Nettie's pumpkin patch to get pumpkins to decorate her CPA firm. But instead of only finding pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, she also finds a body. . . .
Amanda is determined to find out who the killer is, before she delivers her baby that is due around Halloween. Her husband, Nick Thorn, who is absolutely crazy over her, tries to protect her from whatever danger there may be. The clues are plenty and cleverly crafted.
Just wait until you find out about the beauty shop disaster! I will not tell you what it is, because I don't want to ruin it for you. I was rolling in laughter.
I love Amanda and Nick, and all the people in Vamoose. I love Vamoose. The style, people, and country jargon are exactly the same as it is in the rural community in which I grew up. This book really hit home! Vamoose even has a country music singer who made it to Nashville!
