New and old come together in an unforgetable album,

I downloaded the free offering from this album 'Dead Sound' and was instantly hooked on the Raveonettes blend of 50's-60's rock n roll guitar with modern Indie sound. The duo's vocal blend is amazingly smooth. All in all the whole album is a gem.

Never heard of this band till I got the free download--must say I'm very pleased. Love the female vocals in it.

More like "Alive" sound,
By Carly Stroman (Florida Sun) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dead Sound (MP3 Download)
Dead Sound is one great "alive" sound with originality and great vocals. If you like originality with a hint of rockabilly, a nice touch of Indie with some punk, progressive and pop influences...it's for you. Fortunately, I do,do,do like "Dead Sound" and think that the band is worth more than a listen. They don't fit neatly in any category adding more to my sincere "like this band" attitude.
Not to be eaten with morning Cheerios, the tempo is something to be awake before enjoying. There's more room in the world for originality, good sound and they certainly deserve their earned place. This one's a winner at the starting gate. You actually hear it from the start and it's progressively better through the song. The musician's come through as artists in arrangement. Look for them to hit some international charts, they are really quite good.
