Refreshing perspective... a very good read!,

This review is from: Dead South (Paperback)
This is the first Coram work I have read and I can't wait to get another. The protagonist is a black Atlanta detective whose unusually high degree of mastery in the art of interrogation gets tested to the limits in the case of his career.Coram's Dead South grants its non-African American readers unique insight into the daily perils of being a minority, with humor and grace that add to the value of his work as much as does his well developed plot. As a Caucasian, I found this perspective very interesting. Payne's "TV movie of the week" comment at the beginning of the book had me laughing out loud! Well done, Mr. Coram!

I think this is Mr. Coram's best work to date. The story is captivating and his understanding of police interview techniques is right-on. Pick this one up, you won't be disappointed. |
