As Durable as the Man Himself,

This review is from: Dead Space "Isaac Clarke" Unitology Suit - NECA Comicon 2009 EXCLUSIVE (Toy)
I'm very satisfied with this little toy. The only thing I have to complain about is that his kung-fu grip is severely lacking: you'll start swearing before you're done posing him if you try to keep his cutter in his hand. Other than that, the figure is very impressive. Some advice, though: if he stands up out of the box, please, for your own sanity, don't start moving him. Thanks to those 20 points of articulation it's close to impossible to get him to stand up correctly after you've started moving his hips.

Over-all the figure is a great, massive amounts of detail and articulation make it feel like it was pulled straight from the game. Every piece of the skeletal armor has tiny white scriptures painted on, from the shin-guards to the helmet. The figure also has a detailed spin which lights up along with the visor on the helmet. Also included is the Plasma cutter with the same black/white Unitology designs, but it's hard getting the figure to hold it since the hands don't close. The shining point of the figure is definitely the LEDs build into the spine and helmet, sadly this is it's biggest flaw.
There's a blue LED within the spine so it resembles the game to a T. The helmet houses a white LED which isn't exactly like the game, but it's a nice change when you see it in person. The top of the spine acts as a switch for both LEDs and is well hidden so it doesn't detract from the figure. The switch can be toggled on and off with a good push, at first it seems like you have to hold the button but that's not the case, you just have to push the button down hard enough. The back of the figure can be removed to replace the batteries in-case they die. Now the one flaw I mentioned before-hand is the LED in the helmet will disconnect from the wiring and stop working if the figure's head is moved too much. In my case, it didn't even take too much moving for it to stop working. The head can probably be popped to fix the issue but I haven't tried.

I bought this off of Amazon back in March along with 2 of the regular painted Level 3 Suit Isaacs (so I could take 1 out of the box). I got all 3 for around $[...] shipping included and now I am seeing Amazon selling this one at a base price of $[...] and the other Isaac Clarke figure for $[...]. Needless to say, these things seem to be in high demand and are a great collector's item. Not only that but they are a couple of the coolest, most authentic looking action figures I have seen.
As I mentioned, I cannot review this specific toy, but it is the exact same model as the regular Isaac Clarke, just with a cooler looking paint job. The other is a pretty well articulated figure for the most part, the only real problem with him is his hand is not the greatest for holding his plasma cutter (i eventually remedied this with a drop of super glue in his palm, not like you're gonna use the hand for anything else). The lights in his helmet and spine look great. But what really makes this figure great is accuracy of the figure as the suits are depicted in the game "Dead Space." Extreme detail to every portion of this suit, from the exact shape of the helmet to the metal ribbing and armor to his stasis module on his arm. He even has a small orb in his open hand's palm that projects the directional beacon in the game. Both the "standard" and "Unitology" paint jobs look excellent and accurate on the figures I received. Get this before its value goes up even more!
