2.0 out of 5 stars A great premise is wasted, October 13, 2000
By
This review is from: Dead Time (Paperback)
The power of a man's grief and hallucinations propel him back in time so he might stop his sister's brutal murder from happening. However evil forces, not to mention time itself, are constantly battling against him. Will he save his sister and himself, or will he destroy it all in the hellish flames of a time paradox?

Author Richard Lee Byers has concocted a great Twilight Zone story, but he refuses to explore the characters and situations in any real depth. The story unfolds at a brisk clip, rushing from moment to moment and never slowing to build any real sense of mystery or threat. Too bad, this book could have been something. As it is now though it is nothing but one hastily presented contrived cliffhanger after another.
