More than enough crabs
on September 1, 2013
The lure of this show was that this was such a deadly profession that they dangled in front of you the idea that someone would get hurt or lost at sea on camera. While I don't wish that to happen to anyone, instead what we got was another reality show with people doing yet another job without having grown up into adults. Family bickering, testosterone laced posturing and shouting matches were as dramatic as this show ever got while they caught crabs in the frozen north seas. Except for the frozen north sea part, everyone has already experienced this show at their own family dinner table.
At best this should have been a 1 hr. one-off for Discovery channel. Instead, because the production costs were cheap and they could get people to watch other people screaming, yelling and arguing with each other, they milked it for WAY too many seasons.
