5.0 out of 5 stars Deadly Arts review
Only 5 characters, you say? next time get your facts straight. Deadly Arts in one of a rare breed; realistic fighting games. the game moves can be done by real people, and in fact ware based on real martial arts. 3.0 out of 5 stars Wasn't too bad years back.
The companiy tried to do something with what the N64 had to offer, just should have done this game on the PS One instead. Check the sound test for a song "Heavy Rough," it's used in Snoop Dogg's "Sexual Seduction."

The game had a lot of effort put into it by the company only to be shot down by the consumer market. People have gotten so obsessed with flashy games that they don't notice how shallow the games are. This is a nice but greatly underapreciated change of pace

4.0 out of 5 stars Rare N64 Fighter Classic., February 7, 2003
This review is from: Deadly Arts G.A.S.P. (Game Cartridge)
Mosty people never even know this game exists, but it's one of the best 3D fighters to date. The gameplay is actually much deeper than most other fighters in this genre. Not just a button smasher, you actually have to learn alot of moves for your character. Plus you can make your own figher! Someone with taste will notice the cool qualities of this title, from the box art to the menu selection screen! Japanese manga/anime style art lines the box and instructions, and the in game graphics! Sound is awesome, with music that fits each stage, mostly cool industrial style synth beats, especially the factory steel mill track is really cool.

deadly arts is a 3-d fighting game that is full of good ideas, but falls short in the execution. the fighting is pretty much standard. there is a character editor so that you can make your own avatar to fight with. the character editor is limited in its choices, but still a cool addition. fighting fans might want to see the different aspects that make this game unique. others need not bother.

This game is terrible. The graphics [are very poor] and the moves are stupid and lame. You only get to choose from 5 different people to be. It also is so easy. I beat it one week on easy and medium and on hard all in one week. So I recommend that you don't buy it because you are just wasting your money.
