5.0 out of 5 stars I loved the book "Deadly Cure"
I think it was 3-4 times I was brought to tears reading this book. It touches the heart of Pregnancy loss and the deep pain , a subject that is often swept under the rug (it will disappear if we ignore it). This book was wonderfully written , tactfully while still exposing certain truths. I recommend this book as well as the first one, "Lethal Harvest".

1.0 out of 5 stars Much too preachy
Although I'm not a religious person, I've never sued anyone for displaying a Nativity scene at Christmas. Still, I'd rather not be told that there's only one way to look at the world and that my way is wrong. That's the feeling I got from this book. It's from a Christian publisher and I'm sure there's a good market for such fiction (you can leave it where the kids...

Once again, Dr. Cutrer and Mrs. Glahn have produced a winner! An excellent combination of just enough "technese" and compelling characters makes this a "must read". Addressing tough ethical issues that face science and medicine today, they make their point while providing an outstanding and enjoyable story. I can't wait for their next book!!!

A chilling look at the seamier side of bio-genetic research and a frightening glimpse into the dangers medical workers face every day. 5.0 out of 5 stars Dangerously accurate!, July 24, 2001

This review is from: Deadly Cure (Bioethics Series #2) (Paperback)
Again, Dr. Cutrer and Ms. Glahn have captured the current challenge in biomedical ethics - just because we can do it, should we? They are ahead of the current news on stem cell research and weave a wonderful continuing tale from "Lethal Harvest" that forces us to decide exactly what life is and when it begins. This two book series is a must read - captivating and prophetic - every Christian should have these on their book shelves and every non-Christian should read them and ponder the significance of choices.

I think it was about 3-4 times I was brought to tears in reading this book. It touches the heart about pregnancy loss and the deep pain. So many people try to sweep it under the rug and look away from this subject,( maybe it will disappear if we ignore it) but this book is wonderfully written, tactfully, while still exposing certain truths. I recommend this book as well as the first one,"Lethal Harvest".

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Sensational Hit!!!, July 22, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Deadly Cure (Bioethics Series #2) (Paperback)
Cutrer and Glahn have again teamed to produce a thought-provoking plot that will keep the reader emotionally connected with the characters first met in Lethal Harvest, along with the introduction of several new faces to the cast. Deadly Cure is a story of true-to-life happenings and resulting decisions, which are often affected and influenced by medical breakthroughs. While using personalities we can recognize and identify with, this fictional work helps bring to understanding the ethics, values, and possible outcomes that each of us need to consider when celebrating human "accomplishments" that seemingly offer unlimited hopes. With certainty, this writing supports and encourages that good CAN and generally does come from medical and scientific research, but also nudges us toward the desire to personally develop an educated and accurately informed view of the process by which these advancements are achieved and carried out. Indeed, this reading is a delightful way to junction everyday life situations with the ever-changing world of medical technologies proclaimed through headline news reports. You'll really enjoy Deadly Cure and then, no doubt, will want to get a copy of the coauthors' previous bestseller, Lethal Harvest, an equally riveting page-turner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding medical thriller, June 2, 2006
This review is from: Deadly Cure (Bioethics Series #2) (Paperback)
In-depth characters, engrossing plot and glued-to-your chair suspense all combine to make Deadly Cure a book worth reading and passing on. Deadly Cure provides fascinating insight into the benefits and pitfalls of medical research. Authors Glahn and Cutrer have written an emotionally charged book that draws the reader into medical ethics issues often not addressed in works of fiction. Their skillful writing helps readers understand the world of bio-genetics research. Definitely a must-read.
