for die hardest fans,
This review is from: Deadly Deals (The Sisterhood) (Paperback)
In DC after trying but failing for years to have kids, late thirties couple Rachel and Thomas Dawson are euphoric when he donated sperm to a surrogate mom and eventually brought home their twins. It cost them $100,000 collected by Baron Bell but they felt it was worth every penny as did their parents whom lent them some of the cash. However, not long afterward a lawyer informed the couple that his client the surrogate mom wants her kids. They lost their children, are broken and Bell vanished.
Rachel visits lawyer Lizzie Fox though she cannot afford the fee. The attorney contacts the vigilante Sisterhood who learning of the baby-selling ring scheme and come to Washington to bring rightness to the madness even as a snowstorm hits the city. Long time die hardest fans will fully relish the latest escapades as the crew still wait several books for their pardons, but keep doing good deeds; newcomers will find it difficult to grasp how the Sisterhood got to this point and less than devout faithful will question why one more. Still the ensemble vigilantes are solid, the angst of the Dawson duet powerful, and the activity of Mr. Wonderful and his baby selling insidious. Overall this is an enjoyable White Christmas in DC with the Sisterhood saga. Harrier Klausner

Great Subject, Poor Book,
By
This review is from: Deadly Deals (The Sisterhood) (Paperback)
DEADLY DEALS by Fern Michaels is a staggering disappointment. The subject is fascinating and timely, but the story is flat and dull. It maybe that Ms. Michaels has incorporated too many characters into the stories and needs to give each of them a show page, but it doesn't work.
For the next one I hope she gives a few a vacation -- a long one. The dialogue between Harry and Jack is so repetitive it reads like a record needle stuck in a grove. Nash Black, author of Indie finalists WRITING AS A SMALL BUSINESS and HAINTS.

This review is from: Deadly Deals: Sisterhood Series #16 (The Sisterhood) (Hardcover)
When someone decides to adopt a baby it can be for many reasons such as not being able to conceive but the most important is that it is a couple who loves, cares and wants a child to love and take care of for the rest of there lives
When Rachel and her husband Thomas had no luck they decided to adopt and were thrilled although shocked when the brought home twins. What could be better news they were now the proud parents of a boy and girl until there world was shattered when they got a letter from the laywer saying the surrogate mother wanted the twins back. Having nobody to turn to after speaking to lawyers who said they did not have a chance of keeping the babies against her husbands wishes she takes a chance and visits Nancy Barnes the new office manager of the law firm owned by Nikki Quinn. Nancy is upset and promises to do everything in her power to help the Thomas's keep there twins. Barron Bell was the atorney who handled the adoption and Donna Davis was the surrogate mother. Mr. Squeaky clean only helped set up the adoptions and then stepped out of the picture and let Adel Newsom a Lizzi Fox wannabe would do the dirty work. The sisterhood has helped all kind of children and people in different situations and as always there are some surprises that one wont expect along the way but I found this to be the most touching and wonderful challenge the sisters have ever taken a must read for sisterhood lovers. If you have not read it go out and get it today a great read and perfect for when you are in on these cold days.

I love the "Sisterhood" series, but... one thing the author keeps putting in this series (and possibly her other books) are characters that go around "flapping their arms".
I do not know one person who has this peculiar habit, but apparently Ms. Michaels' world is populated by people who act like chickens when upset, because she has virtually every character in this series do this at one time or another. It keeps bringing up a weird vision in my mind that takes away from an otherwise enjoyable read.

Loved the Sisterhood seriers when it started but after Yono's problem was taken care of it should have ended with every one living happly ever after, instead the series has gone on ever after, with each book getting worse and worse. Very disapointed since I have loved anything Fern Michaels wrote, not anymore. Sorry . My recommendation, library not bookstore.

Most of the banter between the characters was very sophomoric. The action parts of the story were interesting, but about 50% of the book is uninteresting silliness. I read about 2/3 of the book and then quit. I should have downloaded a sample before purchasing.. LOL This may work for some readers, but it didn't keep my interest!

This "book" sold in Kindle format for $4.99. Should have been .99. It was poorly constructed, badly written and had little continuity. In addition, the "book" took about 63% of the download. The rest was used for promotions of other Fern Michaels books. Actually wound up paying to read the advertising.
First time in my Kindle experience that I feel I was ripped off. Don't waste your money.

Some Fern Michaels are pretty good. This one I enjoyed a lot. I thought the plot was so different.

Fern Michaels Sisterhood Series,
This review is from: Deadly Deals (The Sisterhood) (Kindle Edition)
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the Sisterhood Series. I have the whole collection from WEEKEND WARRIORS to DEADLY DEALS. I've lent my entire series to two different people and they read the books in order one right after the other. I had to wait for each book to come out, so I envy them having been able to read each book right away and not wait. I recommend this series, but be sure to read them in order!
