Truth wins out regardless of character of witness,
By Mac Donald (Saint Francis MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
The old saying, "An imbecile child with one good eye is a better authority for the existence of color than a roomful of blind PhDs," holds true here. Outside of this book, I know nothing of Shaw or his reliability, but his story is not only credible, but poignant - and corroborated by other former Freemasons who got out AND are still alive (not all are). The authors detail how this organization is not at all Christian, though it wears the guise of morality and does some good for society. Instead it is predominantly clandestine and defiles the conscience when confronting the law and Christ's commands and standards. "Taking an oath to assassinate any fellow-freemason who tries to leave that organization" is by no stretch kind, loving, compassionate, or even the fruit of a rational mind. Being coerced to take such an oath is not only demonic, but outright defiant of Christ's command. Another excellent source is Oberlin College president Charles Finney's book noted at this review's close. His objective expose includes an excerpt from a letter by George Washington, disavowing any supposed (although Freemason-asserted!) adult relationship with that lodge. So, regarding Truth, "seek and you shall find" may involve an extended search, but the end reward is worth it.The Character, Claims and Practical Workings of Freemasonry

How can Christians remain tethered to this blasphemous religion of Masonry? On page 84 Jim Shaw writes; " Albert Mackey wrote (in the Masonic Ritualist), "Thus the trestleboard (blueprint for life) of the Jew is the Old Testament, of the Mohammedan the Koran; the Veda Scriptures of Hinduism and the writings of Baha-ullah are just as good as the Word of the Christians' God, for the fact is that all religions are never as good as the pure teachings of Freemasonry."
Masonry teaches that Jesus is no greater than the other "exemplars" of history (such as Mohammed, Buddah, Aristotle, or Joseph Smith). Page 94 33-degree Jim Shaw walked away from Freemasonry one day, after participating in a a Mason Maudy Thursday "black communion" ceremony in his Scottish Rites Temple in Florida. Participants of this ceremony are required to refer to Jesus as an "apostle of mankind who was neither inspired or divine". They then proceed to mock Jesus further by enacting a strange "black communion" ceremony. Pages 105-107 See more of this book's Excerpts here: http://www.conspiracyarchive.com/NWO/33rd_Initiation.htm Another great book I highly recommend by another ex-Mason is "Masonry Beyond the Light". In his book Masonry "Beyond the Light", William Schnoebelen (now a saved Christian) talks about his experiences as first a Satanist and then a Mason who passed through nearly all the Mason Degrees, including some that American Masons are unaware of; such as degrees in Masonry like the Egyptian rites of Masonry and the Paladin. During his initiation into Palladium Masonry William sadly admits to standing with Masons, some who were also satanists and chanting; "Glory and Love for Lucifer! Hatred! Hatred! Hatred! to God accursed! accursed! accursed!". He says that hashish provides some of their "illumination", taking after the 1st "Illuminati" 18th century Mason Adam Weishaupt. Freemasonry exposed for what it is.,
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
This is a great book for those (Especially Christians) who want to enter this lying and decieving organization. As a former York Rite Freemasonry myself, it is about time Freemasonry was/is exposed for what it truly is:Devil worshipping and pagan in origin. Great Job Bro. Shaw!!!

Not quite, deadly...,

This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
After reading this book, I found myself needing to ask more questions about the so-called deception. This book is not really tell all and may have been better if too much time wasn't spent on certain personal ventures. I never got the actual deception part and whether or not it is really deadly. I must say that there are a lot of facts, excerpts and explanations, but the exposure part kind of left me hanging. It is about one man's journey and success through freemasonry. It did not get down and dirty on the exposition of freemasonry.

Great book on the tactics of Anti masons and their deception,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
I give this book three stars only because it is a great study in the tactics of anti masons. The sad part is, that too many will read the book and accept it as truth, based upon the perceived quality of its sources. Too many people fail to do their own research and find the facts behind such perversions of the truth. If you must read this book please take the time to read A PILGRIMS PATH BY ROBINSON, FUNDAMENTALISM AND FREEMASONRY BY LEAZER, AND IS IT TRUE WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT FREEMASONRY ( A REBUTTAL TO DEADLY DECEPTION) BY MORRIS. You owe it to yourself to know the truth.

Lying for God?,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
The sad part of this book is that it will add further fuel to the anti-masonic fire. The same hollow arguments are brought out and served in the same old fashion.Interesting how Jim Shaw falsified his rank in the Masonic Fraternity. The authors of "Is it True what they say about Masonry?" have uncovered Mr Shaw's demit letter and it tells a diffrent tale than the one in his book. Could this be a case of Lying for God? I guess we now know what the true Deadly Deception is. Unfortunately too many will be deceived. Unfortunately, those who will accept this man's words are unlikely to read a book like "A Pilgrim's path" by the late john J. Robinson.

Christian,
By David J. Dundore (Camarillo, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
The bible says that the truth will be made known and that you can only serve one master. No need for another temple or meeting place. As Christians we are to meet to worship Jesus/God only. And why do free masons need to be secretive? Jesus and the Gospel is for the entire world. The need to be secret is suspect and I am glad this book has blown this deadly deception. Jesus is the only way, truth and he is the light and way to real life. Correction: If you believe in Jesus and yet are a free mason, I will pray he will right you away from this lie. Jesus also said there will be people who say they know him, but he will say I do not know you. I pray you are not caught in this deception when he returns and you are before the one true God at judgement. The temple was destroyed and Jesus is the only temple. Our bodies are temples because we are give the counselor/Holy spirit. truly if you are a free mason you are blasphemy the Lord. It is not too late walk way like Shaw. Walk out of darkness into the only true light, Jesus Christ the son of God our creator, the great I am, Alpha and Omega. Again if you believe in Jesus he will right you!

Why the term, "Deadly" Deception,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
Because my Dad was a 3rd Degree i.e. Master Mason and an older brother in the Order of DeMolay, I always wondered about the order. At age 32 I became involved in the Theosophical Society and accessed a 22K Volume occult library in Wheaton, Illinois. There I found plentiful information on many not-so-public subjects and discovered that Free Masonry and the Occult have the same roots. The Bible records that Jehovah told Moses and Joshua in taking the Promised Land, to kill all the inhabitants thereof...primarily because the religions of those people were steeped in myth and mysticism and did not acknowledge Jehovah as God. Masonic teaching also does not. Its symbolism and its oaths, and its initiations are primarly taken from Arabian teachings from about the 12th or 13th century, hence the Lodges are called Temples. The Christian Bible is part of the furniture of the Lodge only in Christian societies; otherwise it may be the Koran, the Vedas, or other "Holy" book."Deadly" is the appropriate term. Nothing in Masonry directs a person to Christ. There is also at least one Luciferian Oath taken on the way to the 32nd Degree. Therefore, since, "No man comes to the Father, but by Me," if one depends upon good works to be accepted by the "Great Architect of the Universe" (NOT Jehovah!) and thereby be allowed to enter into the celestial kingdom, condemns a person to Hell. The book follows one man's successful journey into, through, and out of the order, into becoming a knowledgeable Christian, dependent upon the grace of Jehovah God through the sacrificial atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ. I found the book simple enough, interesting enough, to hold the attention of my two teenage sons while I read it to them before they left our home. The intent was to caution them against getting involved in this order later in life. There is also a tape from Dr. D. James Kennedy's program, "Truths that Transform" (10/4/89) that contains a lengthy interview with Jim Shaw, 33rd Degree mason and his amanuensis author, Tom McKenney..

The truth about Freemasonry,
By
This review is from: The Deadly Deception: Freemasonry Exposed by One of Its Top Leaders (Paperback)
First of all I will say the name listed is my real name and that I am a 3rd degree Master Mason as well as a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. I only differentiate for those who do not know that you must be a Master Mason before entering the Scottish Rite. In order to understand Freemasonry one must look to its true origin which is in no way religious but a society for the protection of its members from an oppressive government. I am also a born again christian having been raised in the Church if God. All I can say is that I have researched the history of Freemasonry extensively and have found absolutely NOTHING that contradicts any aspect of Christianity. If this book really interests you I suggest that you read John J. Robinson's book entitled Born In Blood which in my opinion should be listed as the definitive work on the history of Freemasonry.
