murder, mystery and suspense in the old west, July 22, 2007
This review is from: The Deadly Doves (Linford Western Library) (Paperback)
The writings of Lance Howard will appeal to many, not just to "western" readers. As a writer, he incorporates the best of many genres including mystery, horror and suspense, into one gripping read. Poison Pass draws the reader into the surreal world of a town held in the grip of a madman. You feel the pain of a man forced to sacrifice his own daughter to this horror, and you become lost in the tale that unfolds, until, unfortunately, you reach the end and have to put the book down. Poison Pass is highly recommend for western readers and murder/mystery readers alike... in fact anyone who likes to lose themselves in a good book.

Great Western Action!, May 11, 2001

This review is from: The Deadly Doves (Linford Western Library) (Paperback)
A unique western involving a cult of saloon girls trying to take over a town. The author weaves a spell of intrique and action and creates characters a modern reader can identify with. A must read. My highest recommendation.
