5.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth The Wait, October 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Deadly Genes (Destroyer #117) (The Destroyer, 117) (Paperback)
I have been waiting for this Destroyer adventure for years. I was very excited when I found out the authors were touching on part of the main character's past (for those uninitiated in Sinanju, Remo Williams is a an assassin employed by the US government who has fought standard villains but also vampires, androids and ancient gods.) I do not want to give anything about the story away. Let's just say it was well worth the wait and the story made this longtime fan very, very happy ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Grrrreat, November 24, 1999
This review is from: Deadly Genes (Destroyer #117) (The Destroyer, 117) (Paperback)
The destroyer is still with us. It is so good to see Remo revisiting his past and at the same time moving on and growing. I was finding it hard to believe that afte 20 yrs. of Sinanju Remo was still as slow witted as he liked to appear. This is a great example of a Destroyer novel, the familiar is there but the new stuff (such as Remo's new intelligence" has been introduced in a natural way sympathetic with the methods of Sinanju. Tell the author, tell the publisher, I will continue to buy. Thanks for a Grrrreat read.

At present this is one of the best Destroyer books lately and the last few have been pretty good. I enjoyed the flashback into the past books, it was tied in nicely with this story. Over the years it's gotten so Remo can't be touched or hurt by anyone so it was refreshing to see a little bit of a reality check given to Remo, I won't say anymore. The book was definately fun and enjoyable to read if you're into the Destroyer don't miss this one.
