Gone without a trace ...

Lexi Yates knows she hasn't harmed her three-year old daughter, yet the Louisiana town of Gator Bayou seems to think she's guilty. With her daughter missing, the evidence stacking up against her and her faith in God tested to the limit, Lexi must find a way to convince FBI agent Ace Valdez she's innocent before she becomes the next target.

Ace Valdez doesn't trust easily, and he certainly knows better than to fall for a case, yet there's something about the widowed mother that makes him want to believe she's innocent. But evidence doesn't lie. Or does it?

5.0 out of 5 stars First time Tamelia Tumlin reader August 10, 2012
By deb B
Format:Kindle Edition
I was given this book to review by Tamelia Tumlin on library thing. My review is my honest opinion. It was a quick read. I loved the characters Ace and Lexi. The characters were well-developed and I felt like I knew them. The crime/mystery theme of this book is definitely my favorite genre to read. I like how the romance was incorporated slowly into the story. While I felt the Christian theme was unnecessary, it was incorporated into the storyline well. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who like a little suspense and romance. It was definitely a good book. I will definitely be looking to read more by this author. If you want a quick but great read this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suspenseful and quick July 12, 2012

A great thriller, with a lot of suspense. At one point I had to suspend my disbelief, but quickly got over it in this well written story.

My only regret is that it wasn't longer, as I would have liked to keep reading.

The christian theme was well incorporated, and added to the story nicely.

Well done Tamelia Tumlin!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book August 17, 2012
By Jettie
Format:Kindle Edition
Lexi has moved away from her family, with her 3 year old daughter, to try and relieve the stress of her husbands death in an auto accident. Only 23, and a widow adds stress to her already stressful life. Taking a day off work to redecorate her daughter's room, when she goes to pick up her daughter, they tell her she picked her up 2 1/2 hrs earlier, and had told them she wouldn't be there the rest of the week.

This is the beginning of a drama that keeps unfolding into a deeper mystery. The police and FBI agent, Ace, believe she's done something with her daughter, only her parents seem to believe her. Was the stress of the past year getting to her? Had she really picked up her daughter, and then had no memory of it?

Some say the Christian aspect of this book was unnecessary, to me it was very necessary, it brought a lot to the story. The local church pulling together with Lexi to have a candlelight prayer vigil, and what it brought forth was a wonderful addition.

I was given a digital copy of this book by the author, to read and review. No other compensation was given. All my reviews are my own opinion, I'm not required to give favorable reviews.

More About the Author

Tamelia Tumlin sold her first story to Dogwood Tales Magazine many years ago while taking a creative writing course in college. The short story titled "The Traveler" was the feature story for that edition. After graduating college in elementary education, life, a teaching career and a wonderful son consumed most of her time. However, in the past couple of years, the yearning to pen fabulous romantic tales of to-die-for heroes and spirited heroines has taken over. Ms. Tumlin has worked with several online publishers, but she is now writing for Steel Magnolia Press. Juggling motherhood, teaching and writing is a challenge, but one she welcomes to pursue her passion. Her novels range from sweet and sassy to dark and dangerous.
