5.0 out of 5 stars Raw RAP Vocals and Power Chords!, March 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Deadly Kung Fu Action (Audio CD)
Not since the Beatles has there been such a 70's style music Love Fest! They combine raw RAP vocals and power chords with a style all there own. Never do they drift off to a place where they forget that music is supposed to be FUN. They once said that they where the only "satanic, heavy metal, kung fu, rap band" and I think that they are right.

5.0 out of 5 stars These guys used to attack the audience with raw meat!, May 8, 1999

I saw this band two or three times, and I owned this Album (the LP version). They are very funny, and they rock! If you like this Search out and find The Cherry Bomb Club. It was founded by one of the X-Pinchers. It's a different style of music. Kinda like when Weller left the Jam and formed Style Council.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good old school!!, January 29, 2002

I used to listen to this when I was a lot younger and I love it more and more every time I listen to it. Morrisey Rides a Cockhorse is the best song. I has it's dirty points, but if you like good music, it doesn't matter.

One of the greatest bands to come out of Denver. Just hoping they finally get back together.

5.0 out of 5 stars Morrisey Rides A Cockhorse, July 10, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Deadly Kung Fu Action (Audio CD)
The single greatest band in the history of their genre.

The CD is worth the price just for "Morrisey Rides A Cockhorse"

If radio would have played this, these guys would be famous.

And yes, they do work for satan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Their best song, April 30, 2006
This review is from: Deadly Kung Fu Action (Audio CD)
Doug Brown is one of the best and most prolific songwriters of our times, although he wrote only one song for the warlock's "Morissey rides a cock horse," which happens to be by far their best song, the fact remains that this jewel is still among Brown's best and is worth the price of the album just for this one song. As rumor has it, Doug was drunk in some coffee shop in Whittier, CA when the Warlocks were in town and they heard him singing it and bought the rights to it for the price of a mocha latte. Most of Brown's best songs were recorded by Anoxia, a band that was best known for such gems as lookout little girls and The strength, but since most of Anoixias albums were destroyed in a rare hair-waxing incident of '94 on the way to the to the studio for final approval; now only a select few lucky people in Bowling Green, Ky. are blessed enough to have owned the original demos, where these songs are still played on local radio.
