Tezra Campbell is an investigator for the Hunter Council with an agenda of her own. While keeping her telepathic gift well hidden, she searches for the vampire who killed her parents. The vampire takes great pleasure in tormenting her within the mist, never revealing his true identity. Only her sister knows for sure who the killer is, but unfortunately she has not spoken since that fateful night ten years ago.

Daemon, originally from Scotland is now the prince of the American Vampire Clans. He fears Tezra's investigation will lead to her death and cause a problem between the Vampire clans and the Hunter Council. He takes control of the situation, placing Tezra under his protection. Only Tezra has a mind of her own and no Vampire Prince is going to stand in her way. Their battles turn passionate, but Daemon refuses to take a life mate and Tezra has no wish to lose her independence. However, their convictions waver at every turn.

As the two try to uncover who murdered Tezra's parents, a new mystery is uncovered, leading them to believe there is a bigger story to why Tezra's parents were targeted in the first place.

I loved this story. Tezra and Daemon's passion in bed and out are intense, keeping you glued to the pages and wanting to know what will happen next. Her secondary characters add to the story, making the vampire world come to life.

Ms. Spear has a way with words, creating a paranormal mystery sure to hold you spellbound as the twist and turns of the tale unfold. A must read!

Erotic romance with a good, solid plot and interesting, multi-faceted characters. Ms. Spear knows how to keep the reader glued to the page.
