This California case of a spurned lover who conspired with a real loser to eliminate her lover's spouse, and in a twist the lover himself, was a fair read at best. While the author did his best to describe the police investigation into the murders it seemed long in details and short on excitement. (even with the twist) Not recommended.

It's a tough read. It does not keep my interest. I will finish it because I started it, but it is one I could definitely put down.

I only read this book because Ken was my cousin. A family member discovered it while pursuing family ancestry. Very interesting detective investigation techniques brought about the ugly story of this person's life, and death. Our families did not socialize as there family dysfunction even before Ken and I came along. Weird family dynamics persist. It was interesting for content. Well written.

I could not put this book down. Its a very sad tale regarding the wife who was killed. The unravelling of the crime by the police is interesting. I could have no real sympathy for the doctor. An excellent read.

This is a hard book for me...Dr. Carolyn Stahl was my optometrist, and I had an appointment with her scheduled the day after she was murdered. She was the sweetest, kindest doctor...the entire doctor's staff was shocked and horrified...even if the book is rather detailed and maybe somewhat dry in spots, it makes a difference having known the victim...

I was goaded into getting and reading this book by a friend that knew the murder victim in the story. If I knew the victim I think the story would have been more interesting but the book was in great shape, as though the prior owner was smart enough to put it down after the first page. The sellers description was accurate4 and I received in a reasonable amount of time.
