Book Description

November 15, 2002
Everyone has a secret... What's yours? Maybe it's a weird trivial fetish other people would find peculiar, even perverted. It's the age of the high speed internet and a company called Talon has created some of the most sophisticated Cybersex software the world has ever seen. Just log in, pop on the 3-D glasses and immerse yourself in decadence. Be anyone you want to be, but be careful. There's something nasty out there, and it kills so quickly that some are still smiling when they go down! Everyone has a secret...and those of you who say you don't, probably have the most of all!

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVED IT!, January 25, 2004

LOVE IT!
One thing is for sure ... either you love Arquette's writing or you hate it, as you can see by the drastically mixed reviews below. There is really no between the lines about it. I happen to LOVE IT! Very inventive. I can see how older fudy-dudy readers that are into books like Stephen King's (wake me when it's over) Dream Catcher diatribes won't like his fast paced, sometimes vulgar style (see the fudy-dudy reviews below), but to me it was like reading a new kind of book for a new generation of readers. I can't wait to read his next one! If you're into big-time published, totally commercial, pre-packaged, overly promoted books that are fed to you by the book press, then stick to your twentieth John Grisham novel. Else read the out-on-limb, rocker, Deadly Perversions. Heah, you only live once.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most Entertaining Book I've Read in Years!, January 10, 2003

This review is from: Deadly Perversions (Paperback)
Don't let the title or the cover fool you. Deadly Perversions is not a horror book, but a sinfully fun ditty that moves at the speed of light; quick smart chapters, written in a what-you-see-is-what-you-get attitude that is uniquely refreshing. Unlike the standard thriller novelist, the author (Arquette) has a playfulness that drives a well thought out plot, eliminating slow chapters with mirth, cranking you up with fast chapters, never really leaving you a time to breath or leave. The book literally sweeps you away. I read twenty or so chapters in one sitting, never really wanting to put it down. The world of the thriller as we've know it has changed. Brett Arquette has entered the scene with his debut novel Deadly Perversions and between you and me; I can't wait to see what he writes next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Humor, Suspense & Sex, December 31, 2002

One word....Awesome! Maybe it's my own "perversions" speaking but this book was great! What a wonderful combination of humor, sex and suspense all rolled into one. I was hooked by page 2 and found it hard to put down. Short chapters make this an easy read. Arquettes imagination and humor take the cake. Can't wait for more from this guy!
