Excellent, a must read true crime book!,
By J. C. (Thailand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Deadly Seduction (St. Martin's True Crime Library) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is well written, definitely not garbage, which leads me to believe 'a reader from Michigan City, Ind.' who wrote 'This book is garbage!, October 4, 1998' must be the killer writing from prison. (See the review below.) No one else would be so vehemently opposed to this book! Deadly Seduction describes the unbelievable life of Susan Grund. She grew up poor. Her way out was to marry up. Unfortunately she easily became a bored housewife. Her opportunity was always 'a new man in her life.' Read this book to find out all the juicy details of the death and destruction surrounding her.

Excellent True Crime,

This is a well-written (although with a little British slant to it) non-fiction about the murder of Jim Grund, by his wife Susan Grund. The book goes into as much detail as possible, although as usual I wish that there were more about Susan's childhood - was she really molested by her father? Was she abused in other ways? Probably. I don't see HOW Susan managed to get away with what she did to her defenseless step-son - or how the father of that child can live with himself. Susan obviously could live with her herself quite well, going on to marry for money - and commit murder for money. She's ruined so many lives, and has no remorse.

Read This Book!,

This is a really good book. It's a true story about the life of Jim and Susan Grund. I live 4 houses down from their old house ( 7 Summit Drive) I don't see how and wife could do that to their husband, but oh well... this book is really good. if you are into true stories and whatnot, I would suggest this book to you

A well written book, if based partially on small town gossip,

This is a well written book, seemingly well researched, although another reviewer disagrees and I cannot verify the accuracy of the information. Much of the book does seem to be based on gossip and one person's reputation in a town, but that doesn't mean it's inaccurate. There are several references to facts that were not made public or not brought out in trial but we're never really told why. All in all, this book is well worth reading.

Susan Grund as described in this book must be one of the sickest most hideous women I have ever read about. I cannot believe that one woman would do everything that this woman has done to hurt other people. Either its all made up or this woman needs to rot in hell!!!!!A must read for any true crime fan... your stomach will turn with every page...

Not as good as I had hoped for true crime. Sad but true story. A lot of brittish reference makes it not flow quite as smooth.

After all the deep and not-so-deep fiction I'd been reading, I was ready for some good ol' true crime. This was a decent book, though a little predictable, about woman who severely beat her stepson with her third husband, and went on to marry husband #4, have an affair with his son, and then kill husband #4.
A quick read.

This is another book that you can't put down. Susan Grund should have felt very blessed by the men who came in to her life. Without them she had nothing. They kissed the floor and bowed for her and that was not good enough for the evil Susan Grund. I will say no more to avoid spoilers but will say this book was well written it kept me up to late it was that hard to put down. The author did extensive research on this. It was so well written that it was even made in to A Movie.

I really enjoyed this book. This woman is actually at the prison that I work at (Indiana) so it is getting passed around quite quickly for all of the Officers to read.
