I don't think I would hire Kate Kinsella as a Pi,

This review is from: Deadly Bond (Hardcover)
she's kinda cute and enjoyable, but from the two books involving her that I've read, I don't much think I would have any confidence in her deductive abilities. The plot is OK. A woman approaches Kate and hires her to protect her from a killer she saw shooting a woman. Kate soon realizes that not all is at it seems, but really, she accomplishes little in getting to the root of the matter, and she sure doesn't do a good job of protecting her client. There's some entertainment value here, but there are lots of sharper lady investigators in today's mystry literature.
