More About the Author

Lora Leigh lives in the rolling hills of Kentucky, often found absorbing the ambience of this peaceful setting. She dreams in bright, vivid images of the characters intent on taking over her writing life, and fights a constant battle to put them on the hard drive of her computer before they can disappear as fast as they appeared.

Lora's family, and her writing life co-exist, if not in harmony, in relative peace with each other. Surrounded by a menagerie of pets, friends, and a teenage son who keeps her quick wit engaged, Lora's life is filled with joys, aided by her fans whose hearts remind her daily why she writes.

This is probably one of the worst books I have ever read.

I tried, I really did to ignore them and just focus on the story but the numerous errors became too distracting.
Truth Be Told
I am a fan of Lora Leigh and was excited when I found a series I hadn't read.

Loved the story - great premise, good characters, fast paced, good suspense.
But the quality of the writing and the editing - awful. Inconsistencies, repeating the same phrase over and over again, at one point the same scene seemed to be repeated within itself.
Please Lora, your editor and the publishing house: read your manuscript thoroughly before publishing! Or get someone else to do it.
I am starting to take LL off my auto buy list because the quality is slipping so much, which is a real pity.

After reading Midnight Sins, the first book in this series, I regretted that I paid money for a book with so many typo's, timeline errors, factual mistakes, etc etc... This time I was smart enough to get the book from the library. Lora Leigh will never be an auto buy for me again. I should have learned my lesson after Live Wire. Having said that, I feel the need to continue with the series simply because I want to know who the killer/killers are.

While the author is good at building suspense and writing sexually graphic material, she confuses the reader by changing facts in her descriptions of characters. This book is about Logan, the middle Callahan cousin. Based on the last book, he should be 32, not 33. He has been described as having a different look then the other Callahan cousins. Rafer, in the last book has sharp blue eyes and the noted black hair of the Callahan men but not the prominent brown eyes. Crowe, the oldest cousin, who will be in the next book, titled 'Secret Sins' was described in the first book as having dark hair and dark eyes, the true look of the Callahan men, the cousins fathers. Then LL messes up and gives him green eyes midway only to catch her mistake and correct it back to brown hair and brown eyes. Logan is a blond with emerald green eyes, as depicted in the cover of the book. At least she doesn't mess him up. I guess we will have to wait for the next book to see if she does that. Pathetic really.

As if that isn't bad enough, we have Skye O'Brien as having curly long dark hair, but at one point, LL describes her as having long red hair, only to go back to describing her as having the dark hair again. I just rolled my eyes at one mistake after another.

This is the 2nd installment of the series, the first being Midnight Sins which was very hard to get through..curiosity made my buy the second and I must say the plot moves along MUCH faster than the fisrt..typical Lora Leigh sex scenes and the two characters are well developed. I must say, you may not even bother with the first installement as it is briefly explained here.

This is not a postive review.....It is full of SPOILERS******

I have been a big fan of L.L. for years, but in the past her writing has been really bad. I was hoping that this new series would prove that she was back in the game.

I read the fist one and I didn't really like it, so I waited on the reviews before I bought this one. Most of the reviews said that this one was better. I do not see how anyone thought this was better.

This book as so many things wrong with it I wanted to get my money back from Amazon. What was I to say? "I want my money back because the book stunk"?
What I found so strange was the love scenes...L.L. has always brought forth great scenes, but after reading this book I am starting to think that maybe she just into this anymore. L.L. couldn't decide even if the female had a gown on or short/shirt. Couldn't decide if they were on the bed or on a counter. Then the cut and paste was awful. In a couple of chapters things were repeated several times. I had to keep going back and I thought I must be too tired to read because I felt like I was reading the chapter over again. I was reading it over again because it was in there twice. The names of the guys were getting mixed up. It would have Logans name where is should of been Rafe's. The ending was awful, it was as if L.L. just got up and left the entire book. I understand that there is another book following this one, but could you at least give it some closure? The first book had a bad guy die at the end; couldn't L.L. give us something to feel that maybe the "good guys" could come up ahead?

If I had to choose between the 1st and the 2nd book I think with all of the incorrect spelling/story telling regarding the past of the family I would still say that the 1st book was better.

I have read just about everything Lora Leigh has written, but the last few books have had several mistakes in them, that contribute to confusion in reading and this one is no exception. Character names are incorrect in places, clothing items are wrong (first Skye has on a gown, then she has on a shirt, then a gown)...please check for consistency and continuity! I don't know if this is the fault of the author or the editor, but it is getting worse with Leigh's later books.
That being said, this book is an improvement over the previous "Sins" book. I am looking forward to reading Crowe's story and seeing the "who done it" wrapped up of the trilogy. The characters in Deadly Sins are fleshed out and you can see why Logan and Skye are drawn to each other. As with Leigh's other books, the sex is pretty hot, but I just can't give this book four or five stars due to the errors throughout. Sorry, Lora.
