Phill Powell is the sort of gamer who can get into a computer game's storyline as much as he can into the actual play. As a result, reading his Inside Moves strategy guide to Deadly Tide is almost like picking up a condensed science fiction novel written in the second person. The game is well suited to this approach. No matter how much you learn during the scene-by-scene walk-through, it's your own playing skill that will bring victory. Powell's book, however, will save you a great deal of fumbling about on your way.
