This is Daniel Way's 6th collected volume of his Deadpool comics. #1, 2, 2.5, 3, and 4 where hilarious & the artwork was excellent. #5 however was Daniel Way's worst volume in his series, the artwork was great, but the storyline was boring, and completely went off track from his previous volumes. He completely made up for it however in this current volume (volume 6). Between the secret avengers and vampires, it was all hilarious.

I would also suggest:

Classic Deadpool (Vol. 1 -4) are available, Vol. 5 is coming out on June 29th.
Deadpool & Cable (Books 1 -3) are available
Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth (Issues 1 - 13) are all available and currently being collected in one or two volumes.
Prelude to Deadpool Corps and Deadpool Corps (5 issues) & (12 issues and counting).
Deadpool: Suicide Kings (4 issue limited series)
Deadpool: Rank and Foul (One shot- everything you need to know about deadpool and all the other characters)

Shorter than most Deadpool books but it moves very quick and funny. The first adventure deals with Deadpool stumbling onto a terrorist and clones that can regenerate. Also there are clones of Black Widow, Moon Knight, and Captain America. But soon the real ones show up in this fight. As everyone knows Capt. America is all order and such and Deadpool just goes with his gut. This drives the Capt crazy. Great battles with lots of trickery including dressing clones like Deadpool. Next Deadpool is hired by vampires to kill other vampires trying to kill them. Deadpool decides to help the good Dracula's. All vampire's are Dracula to him. During this job he shows that he is crazy but that he actually is very smart too. And of course through it all he is always funny cracking the jokes.

This was a great set of comics! Hilarious antics abound as usual. If you want a good laugh at stupid antics, this is your read.

Per the usual Deadpool story-arc / comic collection this one also has excellent inks, pencils and an all-around aesthetic artistic quality. It’s chock full of Deadpool comedy, for instance when he chops off Doctor Bongs hand: ‘That’ll be the last time he hits the bong.’ Or when he’s going off about every vampire being named Dracula, or even (and maybe especially) when he rips on the ‘Twilight’ series and it’s sparkly vampires.

Now, while the art is top-notch and quality, the stories… I think in this edition where a bit slack. The first arc seemed horribly rushed, very little in the way of plot development or even subtle disclosure. The characters had to iterate what exactly it was they were up to so as to make it clear. And the 2nd arc, only a two part story, again was awfully rushed and it required a flash-back sequence to detail the plan Deadpool had set in place long before even engaging the job (or discovering the history of the hospital). And let’s face it – flashback sequence to any plan seems like the cheapest way to get out of a plot failure.

I can’t say I liked this volume as much as either 4 or 5, and I’d probably be disinclined to recommend it as a ‘must’ for any fan of Deadpool, but all in all it was still mildly entertaining.

SPOILERS:

#27: I’m Your Man, Part 1: At a gas station trying to procure a delicious microwavable burrito and the store is ambushed by masked men! A lot of gore and a ‘grenade down the throat’ and Wade finds out that these guys can regenerate! They’re after a terrorist who’s redirecting weapons from the CIA to his personal cache. Enter Black Widow, Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Moon Knight. Deadpool gets knocked out but revives in time to plant a slug between the eyes of the terrorist.

Bought this on a whim. This is my first Deadpool and it did not disappoint. I can see why traditional comic fans might not like Deadpool but I had a blast reading.
