Book Description

May 2005 Christian Softcover Originals
Nobody understands the issues women face better than dynamic Bible teacher and national speaker Paula White, host of a national television program, who crosses multiracial and gender lines with her messages. Many of these listeners are women who identify with Paula's straight-forward and candid approach as she shares from what she has experienced in life. Her openness, integrity, and honesty are what draw men and women to her. In this book, Paula highlights 10 women in the Bible and shows how God transformed their lives and can transform anyone's life who is seeking Him and the answers he provides throughout Scripture.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

In this misleadingly titled book, televangelist White galvanizes women to confront their setbacks by recounting stories about the Bible’s handful of resilient women, like Leah and Mary Magdalene. Certainly their trials can be a source of inspiration to the Judeo-Christian faithful; however, much of their power is buried in the author’s superficial recitation of events and pithy sound bites. In the chapter on Ruth, for example, White aptly highlights the message that one’s past, no matter how ugly, does not determine one’s future happiness, but then she boils the lesson down to the irksome rhyme "leave and cleave." ("Leave the past…and cleave to today…") She also provides few personal details of her own past struggles, though she does mention that her father committed suicide and that she was sexually abused as a child. Thoughtfully interpreting these stories and candidly sharing her own might touch a larger swath of women.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changer!!!, April 14, 2005

I was upset when I read the Editorial Review on this page about Paula White and her book Deal With It! This is the first book that I have ever read completely through. God has should me so much while reading this. It is simple to read but the words are so powerful. I know God anointed her while writing this book. I feel that the person that wrote that review had never felt the anointing that she gives off while she preaches. You can fell it when you read this book. Reading this book has helped me DEAL WITH alot of things that I needed to confront. I thank God for the oppertunity to read this book. I only hope that having that bad review on this page will not turn people away from buying her book. It could not be any further from the truth. God used her in writing this book if for no one else but me. Please give it a chance and put a different review on this page. Thanks, Amy,KY.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's Your Time to Live the Victorious Christian Life!, October 8, 2004
Are there things in your life-spiritual or otherwise that are blocking your emotional, physical, relational or financial healing? Paula White writes about women in the Bible who have overcome increasing odds and equally painful situations to live out their God given destiny. You can too. Deal with it, confront and conquer and your latter shall be greater than your past. A must read for every woman, young or old who feels stuck, discouraged and weary. Truly inspiring as Paula White also weaves in testimonies from her own faith walk. Recommended.

I bought this book and I think it is fantastic!!!!
I loved it and it has taught me alot and made me see these lwomen of the bible in a different way. Also it is amazing how we too have alot in common with them. when I started with Ruth I asked myself oh! what else could I learn from this woman but was I ever mistaken because there is so much that we as women can relate to them. I highly recommend it!
