5.0 out of 5 stars 20 Mini-Games that will test your luck, skill, and brain

3.0 out of 5 stars Not like the TV version
This game is fun, I think it has like 24 "mini games" on it. I was really disappointed that it wasn't just like the tv version where I could select cases and get offers and such, but it is still fun.

This review is from: Deal or No Deal: Secret Vault Games (Video Game)
The Deal or No Deal: Secret Vault Games collection comes packed with 20 games. You can play game freely on your time to test them out, or "Play the show" where you go head to head with The Banker. The games range from a "Yahtzee" type of game with dice colors, spinning a wheel to rack up dollars without hitting a "BUST" space, deciding if a case is higher or lower than the previous case, dropping blocks with dollar signs and numbers in a grid to form money amounts, a "Mindsweeper" type game, a "Wheel of Fortune" type game where you must guess popular phrases from the show (but every letter you pick will cost you money), an auctioning battle between you and the Banker to buy three cases worth money, and much, much more.

Unfortunately, you can't play the TV show game with the 26 cases, but you can buy that game separately. But, during the games where you battle against the Banker, he will make you offers to stop your mini-game, or you can continue on to win much more, as the dollar values in each game increase. So the whole "Deal or No Deal" concept is in the game, just not in "26-case format."

All in all, this game has a lot of variety. You will develop a liking to some games, as well as a disliking. Some games require you to remember patterns, or decide which move you should make next. You don't have to be a fan of the TV series in order to like this game. Graphics are very well done, and the music and sound effects seem to be remixes from the show (to add to the tension).

Now I have many other ways to get hooked on Deal or No Deal; LOL! The classic game is (of course) the best, but this is a good diversion when you want to play something different from the original but still want a Deal or No Deal theme. Enjoy!
