I pre-ordered this book awhile ago. I'm a huge fan of the Dealbreaker blog, and was excited to get the book. I got it in the mail 2 days ago, read it, passed it to my roommates, they read it, and it will most likely become a reference guide about the plethora of awful people who are available to us! Like people with ironic mustaches, people who most likely have cocaine problems, people who text you 20 times in 20 minutes and then begin to threaten you for not responding. Funny and reassuring - your choosiness is not your fault!
Great illustrations, too!
The book is an equal-opportunity offender -- both male and female dealbreakers are covered in much detail. The authors' background in sketch comedy shines through, as most of what's in here is actually funny (which evidently isn't always required in humor books); the writing style reminds me of several of the artists in the webcomic universe encompassing Questionable Content, Something Positive, Girls with Slingshots, and the like (particularly Jeph Jacques and Danielle Corsetto), which sets just about the perfect tone. The art, unfortunately, is a little dicey -- the illustrator might be shooting for Stan Lee, but between awkward shapes and proportions, frequent trips into the uncanny valley, and a general, I don't know, "squiggliness", the art's a lot more Rob Liefeld.
Hey, it's good dating humor. If you like that sort of thing, this is the sort of thing you'll like.

This book is very funny! It is a great conversation piece, and I like the fact that it mentions deal breakers for both sexes.Published on December 17, 2012 by Amazon Customer
