Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

Grade 2-4?Teaching children how to deal with anger can be challenging and frustrating. Johnston takes a straightforward approach by starting with an explanation of what anger is. She then lets readers know that it is OK to get angry sometimes, stating, "Being angry doesn't make you a bad person." The book gives good examples of the different types of anger, and then suggestions on how to deal with those feelings. The one shortcoming of the book is the full-color photographs, which are sometimes too dark or not sharply focused. All in all, though, this is still a valid addition on a topic about which little nonfiction has been written for this audience. Aliki's Feelings (Greenwillow, 1984) explores a variety of emotions.?William C. Heckman, Lake Forest Elementary, Hollywood, FL
