We designed a "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with our asymmetrical 4 bolt pattern creating uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck. this bass is very good quality i purchased this bcuz i wanted an affordable upgrade to a 5 string bass. i was very pleased to discover the amazing tone this bass produces, with dual pickups it has a wide range of tonal shaping ability, i highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality 5 string. also it looks very cool
