I bought this bass a few months ago. It was so beautiful coming out of the box and seemed to play great. I only have one problem which I have no idea how this could happen. I went to tune it to standard (EADG). All was right except the A string which I can't get past a C sharp. I suppose this could be fixed with string replacement, but I have not yet done so because I don't have extra money to go get strings. Otherwise this is a great bass for the price and makes for an amazing practice bass or one for a beginner. Or perhaps one for people who can't afford an amazing bass. *points to self*

ive had this bass for 6 months and its awesome. it works great and i havent had to replace any of the strings. It doesnt go out of tune alot but i do reccomend getting a tuner so you can tune it when it does go out of tune. This is a great bass for beginners and i recommend getting it.

It's a nice bass for less money, the sound is good.
But I got 2 problems.

1. Volume regulator is out of control - it makes noise, sound disappears. Is Dean checking all guitars before selling them?

2. I registered my Dean online. Actually, I expected to get a new regulator as a replacement. I was wrong!
No replay from Dean. They just ignore my. Great service, gays!
All I need - just to know what type is it, I will get it by myself.
Shame on you, Dean!

I just started playing the BASS and decided to get this inexpensive one from Amazon($75 Special).

With some minor adjustments this BASS guitar is wonderful. The black looks gorgeous.

The sound is Good and with some minor tuning it plays quite nice. I really enjoy this

instrument. Shipping came a day before promised and unscathed.

I bought this as my first bass, and within a month of playing it ended up on stage with me. It doesn't have all the fancy tone knobs, but it still a great bass. Ive played slap, jazz, and heavy songs on it. This bass has never let me down. One warning, at the bottom where the plug for the amp plugs in. The plate around the hole tends to come unscrewed, check regularly to make sure it is tight. Mine came apart but gladly I was able to fix it.

Ordered this as a simple practice/extra bass for jamming with my buddies on occasion. The good - it's very nice. Looks great. Good sound. Well made. Sturdy. I like the clean black look. It plays well out of the box and with some tuning will be fine for my needs. The bad - it was shipped in its own box which had almost no padding - just three small pieces of styrofoam to hold it in place, so it was loose and not secure, and that box was unceramoniously "dumped" into a much larger box where the whole sheebang just bounced around and could have gotten beaten up. Frankly I'm shocked it made it to my front door with no damage. Amazon (and their vendors) usually does a great job on shipping and packing but this time the dropped the ball big time. It was only a matter of luck the thing wasn't toast when it arrived. So, yeah, I give the bass 4 stars, but the shipping a big fat goose egg this time.....

Im not really a kid, but I didnt have an account so here we are. I got this bass (or a version of it) about 10 months ago. It plays great, I havent had to replace any of the strings, and it generally keeps tune well. I would reccomend this to any starter bassist!
