4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good for its Price
Let me first say the guitar itself if very nice, which is mainly what you are looking to buy. The gig bag is as cheap as it comes and will easily rip pretty quickly and provides little protection for the guitar. The amp is ok, mine seems to buzz and squeak with any guitar I use on it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective Instrument
The instrument I received was unable to play from the 4th to 10th fret on the 1st E string, it would rattle against the other frets and make it unable to play the certain note. The Neck alignment was completely warped and almost unplayable. It was gifted for me as a present for Christmas and you could imagine the disappointment hearing the dead notes.

Great way to get an electric acoustic with an amp at an amazing price. My son uses it at church. It's been awesome. Especially while he does praise.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for price and more, February 4, 2012

Received guitar, was a little apprehensive when I saw the box(all taped up), but the guitar an equipment were intact. Looked better than I had imagined and the sound was that of a much more expensive guitar. Even the amp sounds great. Would highly recommend for any beginners and even experienced players who don't feel like spending alot (recession and all)

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing acoustic guitar, January 17, 2012

I paid $122 for this kit (when it was on sale) and it is just amazing. I have not open the amp so far. But the guitar alone worth more than $200. The sound quality is excellent. It holds tune forever. I just tuned my guitar once and it have been holding tune for 30 days now, no need even slightly tweaking. Just amazing.

The gig bag is just very simple one, no padding at all. Been said that, I paid $15 for a similar gig bag before, so it is not bad.

It is not solid wood top, in case some buys only buy guitar with solid wood top.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Guitar at a Good Price, April 5, 2010
This review is from: Dean Guitar Starter Pack: Includes Acoustic-Electric Cutaway, DA20 Amplifier, Gig Bag (Electronics)
First of all, let me say that I'm a beginner, and aspiring to becoming a mediocre enthusiast; nothing more. I wouldn't know a great guitar if someone cracked it over my head. That being said, I like this little combo package. It doesn't have a lot of 'wow' packed in with it, but it delivers notes, and does so very well. The guitar is well made and well finished. Sure, the travel case is thin plastic; for 200 bones I didn't expect anything fancy. If I had paid the full price, I would probably have been a little disappointed. If you're looking to start playing guitar, or have a family member you'd like to buy one for, this is a nice starter at a good price. It has my seal of approval.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice for the price, October 30, 2009
This review is from: Dean Guitar Starter Pack: Includes Acoustic-Electric Cutaway, DA20 Amplifier, Gig Bag (Electronics)
This guitar exceeded my expectations! Looks nice but the sound is what impressed me about it. It can easily match my Martin Sigma with it's sound! The bag isn't much. The amp works great! I recommend it to anyone looking for sound quality without spending 400+

It is a beautifully made piece of art with sound to match. It cost more than other acoustic/electric guitars; I dont mind because I love the style and classy look of the instrument.
