Very happy with this Dean PlayMate. I bought it for my 8 year old niece and it fit her perfectly. Great guitar for her. Just what she wanted. Great deal with Amazon.

This is the perfect size for an 8 year old. I was really worried about getting one too big or too small without being able to see and hold this before ordering it. I feel certain he will get a few good years of playing (or learning to play) on this guitar before we have to buy a larger one.

The quality on it is great as well. My husband already tuned it and played a few chords...I'm completely tone deaf, but he said it was great!

I bought this guitar for my son who was dying to get in on his dads guitar class at school.
My husband took it tuned it and decided that he wanted to trade guitars because he loved this one so much. He was joking of course about the trade because it would look strange for a 240 pound man playing a 3/4 size guitar.

I've played guitar for 14 years and bought this for backpacking, traveling, etc. This is a great student guitar and great value. Small, compact, has a decent sound after changing the strings and great price for actual quality.

The guitar is functional. Sounds like a toy and the strings hit the frets during playing. It's not a serious instrument but it's good enough to teach a child to play on I think.

I will tell you that this product is good for the money, it's a 3/4 size Guitar for someone like my son who is 8 and just starting to play and it's working just fine, he's happy with it and learning, I will recommened people to buy it's worth it

This is the worst guitar I've ever played. Let's start off with the string buzz. Absolutely horrendous string buzz on every string, This guitar inexplicably has an extra fret, most guitars do not have a fret right next to the nut, but this one does. What's even worse is that when you fret the first or second fret, the same note plays?!? I've been playing guitar for 20 years and trust me, this guitar is worse than most toy guitars. Stay far away!

I purchased this item to modify to look like Woody Guthrie's guitar and was impressed by its tone, but it will not stay tuned. This was the 9th guitar that i have owned so far and I won't compare it to my Fender California, but all in all it is a great starter guitar for any child (or small adult).

Based on the reviews, purchased this guitar for my grandson to start learning. Arrived quickly, which was nice and unexpected. Tried to tune and the 5th string (lower A) had a horrible buzz. Popped the bridge pin to make sure the string was seated correctly, checked the bridge, nut, everything reasonably possible, still a bad buzzing sound on just this one string. There was also a bunch of loose wood debris inside the body. I wasn't expecting perfection for this price, but it's obvious no one made any attempt to determine the playability of this guitar before shipping. It's being returned and replaced with another brand, yet to be determined.

I bought this for my 5 year old who loves to play church and act like he's leading worship. We thought this would be a fun intermediary between his tiny toy guitar and a real "learner" guitar but I'm sad to say we were totally wrong. I knew the sound quality wasn't going to be great but I was NOT expecting the painful buzzing and twanging this guitar inflicted on us. I thought we'd at least be able to tune the guitar to itself if not to the true E-B-G-D-A-E of a proper instrument but again was totally wrong! My son is not ready to learn guitar for real but this is not even enjoyable as a toy...just plain painful and I'm returning it immediately.
