I ordered this guitar as a bday present for my son.It arrived quickly,the price was good for the quality, however it arrived damaged and I don't think that it was damaged in shipping.When I opened it up you could tell that this was not a new product,
clearly something that was returned before as the packaging inside was all torn up, guitar was scratched and the wood on the neck of the guitar had about a 3/4 in chunk out of it.Sadly I did not have enough time to try to return it before my sons bday and did not want to have nothing for him to open so I gave it to him and he loved it, it sounds great.I have to say that this is the second time this has happened to me with amazon.At Christmas time I ordered a "new" video camera and it too arrived used,scratched,in a plane blue box, not the original packaging.Amazon did take it back but again it was supposed to be a present and they would not send a new one until they received the other one back so it is frustrating.So if you are lucky enough to get a new guitar it is a great guitar.

It is what it is, a GREAT CHEAP guitar, period. Bought this and had it delivered for $98 -- 06/2010. I've owned better, my last was a Schecter Hellraiser with the EMG pick-ups, and this little guitar doesn't really stand up to that. But it's providing me with what I need...a decent guitar for basically nothing. Overall feature are bare bones, tone is OK, hardware is as expected, fit and finish are too. Don't expect the world and you won't be disappointed. It is very light.

Overall a good starter guitar, though nothing spectacular. mine arrived with a chipped headstock, and the strings were not put on correctly, they were out of order. I first thought of sending it back in exchange for another one, but decided against going through the hassle of returning it and just to live with it as it is basically a back-up to my B.C. Rich Warlock I spent about 2 hours adjusting various aspects of the guitars set-up and changing the strings, after that it has stayed in tune, plays and sounds 100% better. so i suggest to anyone who buys one of these, plan to change the strings and do some fine tuning to eliminate unwanted (and mostly annoying) fret buzz. a very basic looking strat body style but overall a good starter or back-up guitar. I give it a 4 out of 5 star rating based on how it sounds and plays after i made the adjustments, and changed the strings.

I got this as a gift for my husband, and he seems to really like it as a basic guitar. He wanted one with a normal shape because his other electric is a Paul Stanley Apocalypse. This one had nice coloring between the metallic red and black, sounds nice, and fit the bill well.
