Book Description

December 1998
Scandalous, sexy, romantic, tender, inspiring, hilarious and moving. This is what people say about these entries from the Sea Crest Diaries. Eight years in the writing, Dear Diary Food for Thought is a collection of the best room diary entries and best breakfast and afternoon tea recipes from the Sea Crest by the Sea Bed and Breakfast Inn in beautiful Spring Lake, New Jersey.

Built in 1885, this glorious old lady by the sea just one hour from New York City, has been nurturing weary bodies and souls of ladies and gentlemen on seaside holiday for over 100 years.

The karma of this special place has allowed her guests to reveal their stories. Now, through Carol Kirby, she gives those stories to you. If you have ever experienced the excitement of reading someone else's diary, don't miss this one. A remarkable collection, hundreds of entries from all kinds of people, from all walks of life, famous and infamous.

The recipes are the best form the famous Sea Crest kitchen. It's the inn that Gourmet magazine called "a top choice," Country Inns Bed and Breakfast magazine selected as one of their "top inns" and Victoria magazine calls "a perfect ocean refuge." White chocolate cheese cake and buttermilk scones-yum!

This book was a plesant surprise. I felt like I was there at the Inn in each and every room as I read the diary entries. Some were funny, some were sad, and some were just downright sexey. To have all this and a cookbook to .....well what more could a person ask for. Its not often you get to look into someones diary. Dont miss this one .. bake yourself up some cookies and settle in . If your like me you wont be able to put it down until you"ve reached the last room at the end of the hall. Whats next?.... a Dear Diary continues..........
