Perfect for little girls who love and believe in fantasy.,
By A. O'Brien (Washington DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dear Fairies (Hardcover)
My daughter, age 6, was completely entranced by this story of a girl's correspondence with fairies. She loved the tiny stationery and pencil included in the book, and writes "our" fairies several times a week, asking about their practices and customs, and making and decorating a "fairy mailbox" to protect letters from loss and damage. We've had a lot of fun with it. She's even inspired one of her school friends to make a fairy mailbox and correspond with "her" fairies. Great writing practice for first graders, but more importantly, a charming opportunity for them to indulge in old-fashioned, innocent, young pleasures. No electronic media required: just involvement of a, ahem, fairy scribe.

Wonderful Fun!,

This review is from: Dear Fairies (Hardcover)
My children (ages 7 and 9) adore this book, and spend hours writing notes for fairies in the yard! This is a great way to encourage children to write... especially "reluctant" writers! They wanted to thank the author directly, and let her know how special this book is to them!

Dear Fairies,
By A Customer
This review is from: Dear Fairies (Hardcover)
This is a magical book for little girls who believe in fairies. My five-year-old daughter absolutely loves it. There is tiny pink stationary and a special gold pencil for your child to write their own fairy letters. We hide them in the garden and always receive a reply! It's so much fun, but you must be committed to keeping the correspondence going, otherwise face a very disappointed child.

Dear Fairies,

This book became a nightly read that grew into making fairy notes and little stick houses. Each page has a special surprise for your child to seek, find and manipulate. The story is simple and kept my daughters attention. Looking in the back pages of the the book, we made a fun discovery of fairy dust, tiny pink envelopes and paper to write notes to your own fairies. I just love a good book!

Our second copy,
This review is from: Dear Fairies (Hardcover)
This is actually the second copy we have bought - the first one has already been LOVED to pieces. Just be careful about the little notes, they are easily lost.
