5.0 out of 5 stars The Fold's best work yet!, October 7, 2009
By Smotown (Buffalo, NY) - See all my reviews
The Fold have managed to conceive, create and perfect their craft with their strongest effort to date. "Dear Future, Come Get Me" is jam packed with inescapable hooks and infectious melodies that are sure to stick in your head and have you singing along in no time. Fans of "This Too Shall Pass" and "Secrets Keep You Sick" will be thrilled know that "Dear Future, Come Get Me" combines the best of both efforts, all while standing strong as it's own unique entity. I feel confident in saying that "Dear Future, Come Get Me" is their best effort to date. The Fold are a band who know what they are doing and they do it well.

It's the little things that set The Fold apart from the pack. The band has taken their own fate in their own hands -- all of the members are immensely involved in nurturing the band in it's entirety - from recording, to deciding on artwork, to releasing their music. It's completely up to them to enlist their fans and promote their music. The Fold thrives on hardwork, determination and old-fashioned word of mouth. These four guys are constantly pushing the envelope in terms of promoting via social networking. Yet, they still find the time to take to the streets to flyer and chat with fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reaching new heights - The Fold's new album shoots for the moon!, October 9, 2009
The Fold have really found their niche with this album. They've taken the best parts of their previous work and improved on them. Progressive music is hard to master, but The Fold is obviously not afraid of change.

They shoot out of the gates with their first track 'File Under: Ground', hit their stride by the title track - and win the race STRONG with the final track 'Neverender'.

Lyrically, I would say this album is their strongest. It's very clear what the attitude of the record is, and many of the songs possess an anthemic quality.

Personally - my favorite aspect of this album is the usage of vocal's as an instrument. It takes talent... and The Fold is well stocked.
