5.0 out of 5 stars "Dear Future Me, I hope you bought this book."
"Dear Future Me" is a fascinating book that allows readers to take a glimpse into the minds of others; their secrets, their dreams, their goals, their hopes, their memories.

Some letters are humorous, witty, and charming; while others are touching letters of love, hope, expectations, and remembrance to their future selves. Some letters may be confrontational...

3.0 out of 5 stars yawn
I also bought this book because my letter was published in it. I thought the way they edited out any names was kind of b.s., but it's not a huge deal. My only problem with this book is that every future-letter aside from my own is completely lackluster. It's astounding to me how ambiguous people will be when they're writing a letter to themselves.

I think...

Some letters may be confrontational or letters of warning or advice. Either way, they all add up to an enticing read and will make you take a good look at yourself and what you expect for the future.

I purchased this book and found it to be interesting and humorous at times. For the reader with the entirely unhelpful and bitter comments because she was not included in the book, please look at the comments and read the letter, it was clear that it was not a guarantee. But back to the actual content-- it was interesting to be allowed access into people's most private thoughts about them and for them. It wasn't always great literature so to speak, but a unique commentary on perspective.

I think this book is totally boring. Or perhaps I am just too self-centered to give a crap about everyone else's hopes, fears, secrets, and resolutions. Either way, yawn.

The cover art is cool, though.

This is a fantastic collection of notes to future selves. When you think about it, what better way to get to the heart of life than to think about what you might want your future self to know and remember?

And I'm in it, so I'm biased! (laughter)

I wonder what percentage of people who purchased this book did so because they were misled into thinking they were published in it. I wonder whether anyone bought it aside from that reason. If you are about to buy the book just to find your entry, you are probably in for a surprise. You were just duped into buying a book because maybe your entry was in there.
