Great Read!,
This review is from: Dear God, Send Me a Soul Mate (Paperback)
I have almost finished the book. I have been reading two chapters a night for the past few nights, and I read several chapters today. It is a quick, easy read, yet it is full of examples. Unfortunately, it looks at dating from a divorcee perspective most of the time, but then it does help since it shows what not to do. I thoroughly enjoyed the reading so far, and I can't wait to finish it tonight.

Great Little Book,

This was a great little book especially for someone just getting back into the dating scene. Things have changed a lot over the years and this book put some basics into perspective. Not only did I come away with some new ideas it made me take a look at many mistakes in the past that should have been obvious. Just enough humor to keep you laughing too.

Wow! This book is so great. It is beautiful, inside and out. Rose Sweet doesn't pull any punches in talking about dating, sex and romance. I was encouraged and I learned LOTS of new things to start doing in my own life to make sure I find my soul mate. If you're sick of the same old dating garbage, GET THIS BOOK. I loved it!

Every once in a while I stumble upon an interesting book that seems to be hidden away from the "popular" list. I really enjoyed some of the things I learned not only about myself but about how God should work in our preparation for a mate. The author does an outstanding job of dissecting the story of how Isaac received Rebekah, his wife. She is able to make the story from the Old Testament realistically applicable to a Christian's life in this day and age. The book sticks primarily to a literal interpretation of the Bible and proclaims the supremacy of God in the Believer's life. I would recommend this book to anyone praying and searching for their future spouse.

Soul Mate,
This review is from: Dear God, Send Me a Soul Mate (Paperback)
This book is written with Biblical principals from a Christian perspective and the author's own personal experience. It works if you're committed to abstinence, but it isn't a book for someone who is interested in being intimate before marriage. A lot of her advice is standard common sense, but the admonition of this book is to be celibate. It reminds me of a book that tries to cure you of an addiction.

Touchy, feely... but give me PROOF!,
By Lola "Wilson" (Milwaukee, WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Dear God, Send Me a Soul Mate (Paperback)
This book was filled with stories and experiences based on different people's lives. It did not contain solid truths, but it involved one person's ideas and subjective points. It was NOT based on Scripture, but instead used a text of the Bible and read into the words to draw inaccurate "applications." I believe this book is not Scriptural, and if we want to find a soul mate God's way we will learn to go to His counsel from His Word alone!
