I thought it was the full movie, but instead just a long preview. Really didn't get what the movie was about except for it's about army guys. Don't think I'll rush to rent this movie. Looks boring to me.

Omg it was such a sweet and sad movie. I cried through half of it. Way better than "the vow"

This was interesting and now I want to definately see the movie. Seeing Nicholas Sparks at the end of this was worth it.

I enjoyed the sincereity and heart felt acting in this movie. Of course I originally watched it because I love the main handsome actor Channing Tatum, but his acting was superb.

I hated "Savannah" so much that the city itself ought to sue Sparks for giving its name to her. A city so lovely that Sherman spared it the shelling that he gave Atlanta should only have its name given to the best of womankind, a class to which Spark's vapid blonde does NOT belong! And, why couldn't the movie have been set on Tybee Island and in Savannah, instead of Charleston? Since Sparks departed from the Outer Banks of NC for this book, why couldn't he have traveled just a little further. to the GA coast?
"Savannah" was so selfish and controlling (why did John need her "permission to re-enlist? She wasn't his wife, or even his fiancee). And stupid. While everyone else on her campus is reacting to the attacks on the Twin Towers, worrying and seeking information about friends and family who worked in those buildings, she was wandering around in her own little world, not giving a damp about the thousands of people just killed.
The only part of the movie that made me cry? Seeing the South Tower collapsing on that German newscast.

As always can't go wrong with a Sparks book-movie. Read the book I do believe the movie did pretty well following the story.
