I ordered this book for my 11 year old son, whose dad is a recovering alcoholic. The book is written from the point of view of a boy about my son's age, so he could really recognize a lot of his own experiences and emotions in the book. It made him realize that there are lots of other kids out there who have had to deal with some of the same issues he's had to deal with. He read the book in no time and really enjoyed it. And best of all, this book lets kids know that familes CAN and DO recover from the diesase of alcoholism. I highly recommend this book; it is a valuable resource for a child who has had to deal with alcoholism in his or her family.
